  5.   KITCHEN TOWEL, CROCHET

  7.   To make a crochet kitchen towel you cut towel in half. You
  8.   first hem it to catch rough edge or you don't really have to
  9.   (I hate to sew so I don't) Using a crochet hook or yarn
  10.   needle you can punch holes in top of towel. I do it as I go
  11.   so I can make sure I get spacing right. (about 1/4" apart)
  12.   mainly try to get it evenly spaced across the towel. I
  13.   typically use dc across the first row. I decrease about
  14.   every 3 stitches as I go up. Keep going till it approx 5-6"
  15.   up from the towel. By this time it should be down to approx
  16.   2" across. Do 6-7 rows at this size (3-4" long). Then make
  17.   chain of 8 from one corner and hook to other corner. ch 3,
  18.   dc back across ch. Finish off, weave in loose ends. Sew
  19.   button (1-2" size measure first that will loop will slip
  20.   over easily but also will not fall off) Placement of button
  21.   is 2 rows down from top 2" section in center of towel. It
  22.   really doesn't matter what stitch U make it with I have used
  23.   all kinds of designs. Skipping spacing, triples, single
  24.   crochets, solid all the way up w/no designs I just vary it
  25.   for my sastification. Never did like doing the same thing
  26.   over and over. That's why my directions are not real exact.
  27.   If U need me to I can be specific and count stitches and
  28.   etc.. I crochet rather tight so if my count on rows is high
  29.   for U that's why...that why I _  tried to give in approx
  30.   inches Looks like this when  ( ) done.Its hard 2 draw things
