  7. Materials: Reynolds Menton, 4 (100-yard) spools; aluminum crochet
  8. hook size J.
  9.  
  10. Gauge: 1 loop = 1".

  12. Starting at face edge, ch 111.
  13.  
  14. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (110 sts). Turn.

  16. 2nd row: *Ch 9, skip 4 sc, sc in next sc.  Repeat from * across (22
  17. loops). Turn.
  18.  
  19. 3rd row: Sl st in first 4 ch of first loop, * ch 9, sc over next
  20. loop. Repeat from * across(21 loops). Turn.

  22. 4th-20th rows: Repeat 3rd row. Not each row will have one less loop
  23.          until the 20th row has one loop only.  Break off.

  25. FINISHING:  For each bow, cut a 20" piece of ribbon; fold in half.
  26.          With ribbon double,tie a bow over each sc (except scs of
  27.          starting row.)  Trim ends of ribbon diagonally.  To make
  28.          ties, cut two 24" pieces of ribbon.  Fold each in half and
