  1. CABLE AFGHAN                
  2.  
  3. Size: 48" x 69"
  4. Materials: Worsted Weight yarn: 60 ounces                   
  5.            Size Q crochet hook                              
  6. GAUGE: 9 hdc and 5 rows = 6"                                
  7. NOTE: Entire afghan is worked holding two strands of yarn  
  8. together.                                                   
  9.                                                             
  10. Directions: Ch 104 LOOSELY.                                 
  11. Row 1(Right side): Hdc in third ch from hook and in each ch across:
  12.        102 hdc.                                            
  13. Row 2: Ch 2, turn; hdc in horizontal loop BELOW front loop of same
  14.        st and in horizontal loop BELOW front loop of each hdc     
  15.        across.     
  16.  
  17. Rep Row 2 until afghan measures approx. 47" from beg, ending by
  18.      working a WRONG side row; do NOT finish off.             
  19. LAST row: With RIGHT side facing, ch 1, sc in horizontal loop BELOW
  20.      front loop of same st and in horizontal loop BELOW front loop
  21.      of each hdc across; do NOT finish off.     
  22.                                                             
  23. Edging: With RIGHT side facing, ch 1, sc in same st (corner);
  24.      working in end of rows, sc in end of each row across to next
  25.      corner, sc in corner; working in free loops of beg ch, sc in
  26.      each st across to next corner, sc in corner; working in end of
  27.      rows, sc in end of each row across; join with sl st to beg sc
  28.      of last row; finish off.                             
  29. You may fringe short ends of afghan using 6 strands of yarn.
