  4. Title: Love Knot Doll

  7. Materials: 7 ozs. DuPont Orlon or 7 ozs, DuPont Acrylic (Main Color-MC);
  8.            7 oz. Dupont orlon or 7 ozs. DuPont Acrylic (Contrasting color-CC);
  9.            Crochet Hook size "G"
  10.            Purchased doll head and pair of hands.

  12. Love Knot Stitches:
  13.   Single - Sl st, draw up a 1/2" loop on hook, thread over and pull through
  14.            ch, sc in single loop (back of st) of st.
  15.   Double - Sl st, * drow up a 1/2" loop on hook, thread over and pull through
  16.            ch, sc in single loop (back of st) of st, repeat from * again.
  17.   Triple - sl st, work 8 above three times.
  18.  
  19. Body (with MC): Do not join rounds; place a marker at beginning of round.
  20.         Ch 2, work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
  21. Round 1: 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
  22. Round 2: * 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
  23. Round 3: * 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
  24. Round 4: * 1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
  25. Round 5: * 1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
  26. Round 6: * 1 sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
  27. Rounds 7-21: Work even on 42 sts.
  28. Rounds 22-27: Dec 4 sts evenly spaced across each of next 6 rounds.
  29. Round 28: Work even across round; fasten off.
  30. Stuff Body and sew on Head.
  31.  
  32. Arm (with MC):  Make two arms.  Ch 12, join to form ring.
  33. Round 1: Sc in each ch aroun.
  34. Round 2-10: 1 sc in each sc around.  Join and fasten off, leaving a
  35.         tail for sewing arms on to body.
  36. Attach hands to Arm.  Stuff and sew to body.
  37.  
  38. Shoe (With CC): Make two shoes. Do not join rounds, place a marker at
  39.         beginning of round.  Ch 2.
  40. Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
  41. Round 2: 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
  42. Round 3: * 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
  43. Round 4: 1 sc in each sc around - 16 sc.
  44. Rounds 5-6: Repeat round 4.
  45. Round 7: Ch 1, turn 1 sc in next 11 sc, ch 1 turn.
  46. Rounds 8-10: Repeat Round 7, join and fasten off.  Sew up Back.

  48. Leg (with MC):  Join Mc in back with sc.  Make two legs.
  49. Round 1: 1 sc in each st around - 16 sc.
  50. Rounds 2-10: Repeat Round 1.  Leave a tail for sewing legs to Body stuff
  51.         shoe and legs.

  53. Dress: (Bodice - worked in CC); Ch 33.
  54. Round 1: 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook, and en ezch st across - 32 dc.
  55. Round 2: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in each dc across - 32 dc.
  56. Round 3: Ch 3, turn, 2 dc in each dc across - 64 dc.
  57. Round 4: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in next 13 dc, ch 6, sk 9 dc, 1 dc in next 18 dc,
  58.          ch 6, sk next 9 dc, 1 dc in next 14 dc, ch 3, turn
  59. Round 5: 1 dc in each dc and 1 dc in each of ch 6, ch 3, turn.
  60. Round 6: 1 dc in each dc across, join on right side.
  61. Round 7: Make a single love knot in every other st around.
  62. Round 8: * Make a double love knot, sc in loop of love knot of previous
  63.           Round*, repeat from * around.
  64. Rounds 9-10: Repeat Round 8.
  65. Round 11: Make a triple Love knot, repeat around.

  67. Dress Trim (with MC): Join. Make a single love knot around bottom of dress.
  68.  
  69. Sleeve (with MC): Join at underarm.
  70. Round 1: 1 sc in each st around - 19 sc, join, ch 3.
  71. Round 2:  1 dc in each st around, join.
  72. Rounds 3-6: Repeat Round 2.
  73.  
  74. Sleeve trim (with MC): Join. Make a single love knot in every other dc around,
  75.         join, fasten off. Repeat for other arm.
  76. Neck Trim (with MC): Join at back. Make a single love knot around neck of
  77.         dress. Fasten off.

  79. Hat (with CC): Ch 4, join to form ring.
  80. Round 1: Ch 3, 11 dc in ring - 12 dc.
  81. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc around, join - 24 dc.
  82. Round 3: Ch 3, * 2 dc n next dc, 1 dc in next dc, repeatr from * around, join.
  83. Round 4: Ch 3, 1  dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc
  84.         in next dc, repeat from * around, join.
  85. Round 5: Ch 3, 1 dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc
  86.         in next dc, repeat from * around, join.
  87. Round 6: Ch 3, 1 dc in next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, * 1 dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc
  88.         in next dc, repeat from * around, join.
  89. Round 7: Decrease in every dc around, join.
  90. Round 8: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join.
  91. Round 9: Ch 3, 2 dc in each sc around, join, fasten off.
  92. Hat trim: (with MC): Join. Make a single love knot in every other st around,
  93.         join and fasten off.  Make a chain about 18" long; weave in and out
  94.         of decrease row of hat; tie in back. Put dress on doll and sew up
  95.         back. Make a small pompom and attach to top of hat.
