  13. Note: Count ch 3 at end of each rop as 1 dc.  In the last 2 rows ch 6,
  14.         not 10 for lps.

  16. Row 1: Ch 253, dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 9 chs, ch 10, sk 10 chs
  17.         (this makes lp), * dc in next 10 ch, ch 10, sk 10 chs. Repeat from *
  18.         until ther are 13 groups of dcs and 12 lps, ch 3, turn.
  19. Row 2: Dc in next 9 dcs, ch 10, sk 10 sts, * dc in next 10 dcs, ch 10, sk
  20.         lp,  repeat from * , ch 3, turn. Repeat Row 2 intil there are 116
  21.         rows. Fasten off.

  23. To finish lps: Start at bottom of afghan and with fingers pull 1st lp over
  24. the 2nd lp, pull 2nd lp through, 2nd lp over 3rd, 3rd through. Repeat to
  25. end, faasten last 2 lps together with safety pin.  (Be sure all lpy go in
  26. same direction.)

  28. Finishing: Sc in each dc across top, 2 scs in each lp (remove safety pins
  29. as you go). Across bottom sc in 10 dc, * ch 1, sc in 10 dc. Repeat from *
  30. to end, fasten off.

  32. Fringe:  Cut 10 inch lengths of yarn, fold in half.  Knot on folded strand
  33. in each ce at top and bottom, trim fringe evenly.
  34.
