  5. It looks fairly simple on the pattern layout. Let me see if I can draw
  6. this on the puter:)
  7. Let me first list what they write for materials and such:

  9. 14 oz knitting worsted black A
  10. 4 oz each green B,Dark pink C, Pink D, Orange E, Scarlet F, blue G,
  11. Purple H, Emerald I,
  12. 2 oz mauve and pink J;
  13. Crochet hook size G or size to give gauge.

  16. one size fits all
  17. Gauge:
  18. each motif=4 1/2 square
  19. Finished measurements:
  20. Bust(incl.ribbing) 45 1/2 inches.Back at underarm 19 inches.

  25. your own, I can list this if you want.

  60. here are their finishing instructions:

  62. With colors evenly distributed, arrange motifs, following charts and
  63. having center edge of half motif to outside.
  64. From right side, with A, working through lps from center sc of one
  65. corner to center of next corner, sew tog with overcast st. Sew
  66. shoulders. Sew sleeve seams (C to C).

  68. Collar:
  69.  
  70. With A, work 1 row sc along one long edge of facing strip (outer edge)
  71. do not work in seams. With wrong sides tog, pin collar and facing strips
  72. tog.
  73. Having facing strip to underside,sew inner edges of collar and facing
  74. strips to front edge of jacket though all thicknesses, Sewing A and B
  75. motifs(the ones to the right and left of "m") of strips to A and B
  76. section of Jacket neck and center motif of strip to half motif.

  78. Sleeve ribbing:

  80. Right side facing, join A in corner sc of any motif on one free edge;
  81. ch 16 sl st in 2nd ch from hook and each rem ch; 15 sl sts. Insert hook,
  82. yo and draw up loop in next 3 sc on motif edge,draw last lp on hook
  83. through rem 3 lps on hook, turn.
  84. * Row 1: ch 1,working in back lps only,sl st in each sl st,turn.
  85.   Row 2: ch 1,working through back lps only,sl st in each sl st, insert
  86. hook,yo and draw up a lp in next 3 lps on hook. Rep from * around,end at
  87. motif edge. break A, leaving a 12" end. Sew rib closed.

  89. Jacket ribbing:

  91. Pin collar and facing tog along outer edges. Work ribbing through both
  92. thicknesses. Right side facing, join A in any sc onlower edge at side;
  93. ch 6,sl st in 2nd ch from hook and each rem ch;5 sl sts.Sl st in next sc
  94. on motif edge.
  95. * Row 1: ch 1,turn,working in back lps only, sl st in each sl st.
  96.   Row 2: ch 1,turn working in back lps only, sl st in each sl st; sl st
  97. in next sc on motif edge through both lps. Rep last 2 rows twicew; at
  98. end of last row, insert hook,yo and draw up a lp in each of the next q2
  99. sc on motif edge, drawing last lp through 2 lps on hook. Rep from * to
  100. within 3 sts of center sc at corner. Work 3 ribs to each of the next 5
  101. sc, work up front edge as before, end at seam between 4th and 5th motif
  102. on the left front. Finish ribbing to correspond to first half, working
  103. around to beg. Sew ends tog same as for sleeves. Sew in sleeves.

  122. This Jacket has a "shawl" collar and a belt to close no buttons or such.
  123. If you need their afgan patterns for this let me know. The Jacket looks
  124. pretty neat, and since all the squares are put together with black it
  125. makes the colors look very pleasing.Enjoy!:)
