  12. Row 1:  Work * 1 sc, ch 3, 3 dc in 4th chain from hook, skip 3 ch, **,
  13.         repeat between * and ** across row to last 3 ch, skip 2 ch, 1 sc
  14.         in last ch - 28 shells.
  15. Row 2:  Ch 3, turn.  Work * 1 sc, ch 3, 3 dc in next ch-3 space **, repeat
  16.         between * and ** across row, sc in top of turning ch.

  18. Repeat Row 2 until 34 in or desired length. DO NOT break yarn.

  20. Edging. Continue in pattern (Row 2) across each side and lower edge of
  21. afghan, working one pattern shell in each ch-3 space.
