  10. A macro based C debugging package which has proven to be a very
  11. flexible and useful tool for debugging, testing, and porting C
  12. programs.

  14. All of the features of the dbug package can be enabled or disabled
  15. dynamically at execution time.  This means that production programs
  16. will run normally when debugging is not enabled, and eliminates the
  17. need to maintain two separate versions of a program.

  19. Many of the things easily accomplished with conventional debugging
  20. tools, such as symbolic debuggers, are difficult or impossible with
  21. this package, and vice versa.  Thus the dbug package should not be
  22. thought of as a replacement or substitute for other debugging tools,
  23. but simply as a useful addition to the program development and
  24. maintenance environment.
