  1. Notes on v3.4 (25.7.93)
  2. -----------------------
  3. This  is  an  intermediate  release which fixes a prominent bug in the
  4. plain  68000  program  version:  the program structure was damaged, so
  5. trying  to  run  it  from shell would produce error #235 (bad loadfile
  6. hunk).  Only  the plain 68000 version was affected, so I changed a few
  7. (well, actually quite a lot) pc-relative references to static data and
  8. recompiled the program. Since I couldn't resist the temptation, I also
  9. took  care  of  some  last-minute  features which did not seem to work
  10. properly and also rebuilt the 68020+ version. The changes include:

  12. - The minimum serial read quantum was lowered to 16 bytes.
  13.  
  14. - The  program will no longer load program settings files as phonebook
  15.   files.
  16.  
  17. - The review buffer window now supports cut & paste again, please note
  18.   that  the changes forced the old keyboard handling routines back in.
  19.   The  Control  and  Alt  keys and the function keys no longer work as
  20.   they did before.
  21.  
  22. - The  ARexx interface command `WAIT' now finds multiple occurences of
  23.   several  search patterns in a single line. Previous releases used to
  24.   find only the first occurence and would discard the rest.
  25.  
  26. - The  quick  dial menu would refuse to enter entries into the dialing
  27.   list  if they were already present in it. Originally, I had intended
  28.   the  quick  dial  functions  to  clear a present dialing list before
  29.   adding any entries.

  31. - A  user  requested  that  the  "AT&T 513" terminal command "<CSI>nG"
  32.   would be added which was easily done.
  33.  
  34. - The  pen  sharing  support  routines  available  when  running under
  35.   control of Kickstart 3.0 used to release the wrong pens.
