- RDBInfo.doc
- ~~~~~~~~~~~
- version 0.17 (14-Nov-92)
-
- © Gérard Cornu
-
-
- RDBInfo is ©1992 Gérard Cornu, but freely redistributable. When re-
- distributing don't forget to include this unmodified doc file. And
- don't charge more than the cost of an AmigaLib disk from Fred FISH.
-
- This program cannot be used for commercial purposes, or included on
- magazine's cover disks without the written permission of the author.
-
- Peter Miles (see end of file*) is obviously granted permission to
- include it in any ICPUG Amiga library disk ;-).
-
- Fred Fish is obviously allowed to include it in its unique
- AmigaLibDisk library.
-
- Thierry Colin ("Amiga DP", french Amiga ONLY PD magazine) is also
- authorised to include it in the french PD collection "DPAT" (Domaine
- Public Amiga Toulouse).
-
-
-
- Intro:
- ~~~~~~
- RDBInfo reads the RigidDiskBlock of the unit and device given as
- arguments, then displays the most interesting parts.
-
-
- Usage:
- ~~~~~~
- RDBInfo is a shell only command, the format is:
-
- RDBInfo [device device.name] [unit unit_number]
-
- (unit is the SCSI ID of the device, from 0 to 6, 7 most probably being
- your controller ID).
-
- ie:
- RDBInfo device scsi.device unit 6
-
- The defaults, if no arguments are given, are:
-
- device scsi.device and unit 0.
-
-
- Credits:
- ~~~~~~~~
- RDBInfo is based upon a C source 'readrdsk.c' that I found in one
- of the Usenet comp.sys.amiga newsgroup, most probably comp.sys.amiga.
- hardware. Problem is that I don't remember the name of the author,
- I didn't save the poster's header :-(. That'll teach me! I think
- it was Randell Jesup, ...or Ralph Babel or maybe ...Dave Haynie?
- Sorry for this memory failure, trust me, now I save the header with
- every post!
