- Wiring the TNC to Archimedes lead.
- ----------------------------------
-
- Some of the older Archimedes badged machines had real problems with the
- serial port then Acorn introduced the field change order mentioned below to
- correct this problem. If this change has not been carried out and you have
- problems then it may pay you to visit your dealer.
-
- If the serial chip field order has been carried out on the
- A300 series - the Acorn reference is FCO-2003, (replacement of C65SC51
- serial chip) - then the connections below should work.
-
- ARC 9-WAY D CONNECTOR TNC 25-WAY D CONNECTOR TNC 9-WAY CONN.
-
- No connection 1 Cable screen (optional) No connection
- 3 TXD 2 TX data 3 TX data
- 2 RXD 3 RX data 2 RX data
- 7 RTS } {* 4 RTS 7 RTS
- } { 20 DTR
- 8 CTS 5 CTS 8 CTS
- 5 Signal gnd 7 Signal gnd 5 Signal gnd
- 1 DCD}
- 4 DTR} All linked together No connection No connection
- 6 DSR}
- 9 Ring indicator # 8 Connect status (optional) ** No connection
-
- * Some TNCs like the PK use pin 4 (RTS) for the handshake input, whereas
- others like the BSX2 use pin 20 (DTR) instead. So, if you make up a cable
- with RTS from the Micro connected to both 4 and 20 on the TNC, then it
- should be suitable for any TNC you are likely to use.
-
- # This connection is not actually required all programs, but you may wish
- to use it to preserve compatibility with all software. It is used by !Term93.
-
- ** On any TNC where the "Connect status" is not reflected by a pin on its rs
- port it should be noted that some facilities in the program will not work
- fully, the main effect is that commands to the tnc cannot be sent while
- connected.
-
- On my elderly A310 I use the following connections.
-
- Archimedes TNC 25-WAY D CONNECTOR
- Pin 1 Cable screen (optional)
- Pin 1+4+8 connected together. NONE TO TNC !
- Pin 2 Pin 3
- Pin 3 Pin 2
- Pin 6 Pin 5
- Pin 5 Pin 7
- Pin 7 Pin 4
- Pin 9 (ring indicator) Pin 8 (connect status on most tnc's).

- 'MISC. MENU' section.
- ---------------------
-
- Abort tx : Abandon a file transmit.
-
- TX File : Any file may be dragged from a directory viewer to a !Term93 window or to the
-
- Files dragged directly from !Edit are temporarily stored
- in the directory "!Term93.Temp" as a file called "Temp",
- this file is deleted after sending or on a transmit abort
- command. The only thing to remember here is that you MUST
- have enough room on the disc containing !Term93 to store
- the "temp" file.
-
- Review : Open the review the buffer window.
-
- RX Buffer : Toggle the receive buffer. The number of lines left is
- shown in the tx window.
-
- Empty buffer : Obvious really. Confirmation is required.
-
- Buff > Edit :Transfers the text (if any) in the rx buffer to !Edit
- running !Edit if necessary.
-
- Save/Spool : Open the save and spool to disc control window.
- Dragging the buffer save icon saves the contents of the
- buffer immediatly but dragging the spool to disc icon ONLY
- sets up the filename and path. The spool file is ONLY
- opened or closed by clicking on the "Spool ON/OFF" icon or
- by using the hot-key combination ^F.
-
- If the filename already exists the new text is appended
- with a new line inserted which reads
- "**** Appended file *** on "+ the current date/time string.
-
- The length in bytes of the spool file is shown in the tx
- window along with the size of the file.
-
- To explain, say you have opened a spool file using a unique
- name then both figures will be the same. Now should you open
- a file with the same name as an existing file and the new
- text is being appended to that file then the first figure
- shows the amount of new text, the second figure shows the
- overall size of the file.
-
- A 'true' save i.e. to disc will result in the rx buffer being
- emptied but the memory is not recaimed unless you 'zero' the
- buffer with the buffer closed.
-
- 'Save matched only' A save to disc or drag to !Edit will
- consist only of lines containing the text in the writeable
- icon in the 'search' window. It should be noted that the
- 'search text' looked for is ONLY that which is (or was if
- you have changed it) present in the writeable icon in the
- 'search' window when a count was last done. What this
- means is that you should do a 'count' from the 'search'
- window before doing a 'matched' save.
-
- To put it another way. To do a save consisting of lines
- that contain the search text only and be confident it is
- up to date then proceed as follows.
-
- Open the 'search' window.
- Click on 'count'.
- Click on 'Open save box'
- Click on 'Save matched only'.
- Save as required.
-
- Notify Notify the operator of a connect status
-
- Active Enable (if ticked) or disable receive. This does allow another terminal
- program to operate alongside !Term93.
-
- Filter high Filter out all characters of a value over 127(i.e. ~) except delete.
-
- Filter low Filter out all characters of a value under 32(i.e. space) except newline.
-
- When filter high or low are set characters filtered out are NOT included
- in the receive buffer but ARE INCLUDED in a "spool to disc" file. This
- means that to save 7Plus and other files which include certain characters
- you MUST spool to disc or you will loose them !
-
- Set Misc. Open a window to set/save filter,if tnc is an all mode unit, notify,
- auto-logging (Logging) and buffer defaults.
- Note that the buffer toggle icon does not set the rx buffer on, the
- settings must be saved before becoming the defaults.
-
- Amtor call Sends the file "!Term93.All_Mode.AM_call" to the tnc. This is for use with
- an All Mode unit, note that the file "AM_call" MUST EXIST and MUST NOT
- be renamed if it is to be used. This selection is 'greyed out' if allmode
- is off in the above selection.
-
- Help Click on the "Click to read user guide icon".
-
- Set time Set the tnc time, an error will appear if this command is issued while
- connected.
-
- Logging Toggles auto-logging on/off (see later section on the log).
-
- Send * Send an asterisk to the tnc, for use when the tnc is on autobaud.
-
- Save windows Clicking on here saves the position of all the regularly used windows.
- The saved positions are then the default.
- The windows whos positions are saved are:

- 'Setting the serial port'
- -----------------------
-
- In this window all the normal serial port parameters can be set up.
-
- The baud rate. Baud rates from 300 to 19200 are supported.
- Control. CTS/RTS (hardwired and recommended) or Xon/Xoff can be selected.
- Bits. The word length may be 7 or 8 bits. Note that an 8 bit
- (AWLEN 8) word length is required for 7+.
- Parity. Parity can be none, even or odd.
-
- Most likely you will want to use 9600 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop bit and no
- parity, commonly known in the IBM world as 8N1.
-
- Some of you may find problems with TNC's such as th PK88 where the 'connect
- status' although shown at the TNCs' pin 8 is inverted when compared with the
- Kam units such as I use here. You should invert the 'connect sense' if when
- you have 'notify' enabled it fails to work and commands from the TNC
- commands menu sent when connected are transmitted. The automatic logging
- facility will also fail to work under such circumstances.
-
- !Term93 (b versions) use the block drivers system by Hugo Fiennes which
- allows for the selection of different driver software to suit the situation
- and equipment. !Term93 can use the following drivers.
-
- !Term93.Modules.Econet
- !Term93.Modules.II_Dual
- !Term93.Modules.Internal
- !Term93.Modules.Internal2
- !Term93.Modules.InternalPC
- !Term93.Modules.PipeA
- !Term93.Modules.PipeB
- !Term93.Modules.SP_Dual
- !Term93.Modules.SP_DualPC
- !Term93.Modules.Telnet
- !Term93.Modules.Term93
-
- Multi-port users can set the port number (0 to 15) by clicking on the arrow
- beside the "Use driver port", this information is saved along with the other
- parameters.
-
- Should you be need further information then feel free to read the file
- "!Term93.Modules.BlockSpec".
-
- For example you can run one copy of !Term93, click on 'set serial' in the
- main menu and in the serial setup window click on the up arrow across from
- the word "driver" until the word "PipeA" appears in the centre icon.
- Click on 'Accept and use' or on 'save as defaults' if you wish it to be the
- permanent default.
-
- Now repeat the above with a secoond copy of !Term93 but this time choose "PipeB".
-
- Now memory permitting run a third copy but this time choose the Term93
- driver. You should find that the first two copies of term93 will talk to
- each other whilst the third one communicates with the TNC !
- Perhaps this is not too usefull but it does demonstrate the system.
-
-
- ************************ WARNING ************************
-
- The selection of the various block drivers should perform
- without error but be warned that a few of the block-
- drivers have NOT BEEN TESTED with !Term93. Any errors or
- problems will be of interest to me especially how well
- !Term93 performs when used with a dual serial port card as
- I do not have access to one even for testing. PLEASE get
- the network sysop's permission before attempting to use the
- Econet block driver (assuming you are on a network).

-
- 'User files' section.
- ---------------------
-
- This submenu is constructed from the filenames found in the directory
- "!Term93.User_2"
-
- The files in this directory should be 'text' (&FFF) type written using !Edit
- and should only contain lines that can be sent to your modem or tnc without
- any modification by the program. You are free to use any 'legal' filename
- you wish.
-
- Selecting any one of these entries from the menu results in the file being
- sent to your tnc line by line.
-
- If you do not wish to use this function and want to free the disc space then
- leave at least one file (which may be of zero length) in this directory.
-
-
- One of these files MUST EXIST !
-
- There is a file in "User_1" that is called "footer" this file MUST NOT be
- renamed and MUST contain the name of the file in "User_2" that contains your
- footer text, let us call that file "footer" and write the word "footer" as
- that first line in the file "User_1.footer". Confused ? then read on.
-
- Note that the file "User_2.footer" will not appear in the menu with the
- other files in "User_2" as it was never designed to be sent directly.
- "User_2.footer" is sent by the character Ú (ALT218), see below.
-
- The lines of text in 'footer'are automatically centred at transmit time, if
- you want an option to this then please let me know and I will see if I can
- include it.
- ---------------------------------------
-
- The file "footer" MUST NOT CONTAIN BLANK LINES (use a space if necessary) as
- this causes a "STREAMSWITCH" error on my Kam All Mode.
- This may not apply to other tnc's.
-
- The file footer is sent if the character Ú is seen as the ONLY character in
- a transmit line (i.e. in the tx window) or as the ONLY character in a line in a
- file to be transmitted. When this character is seen the file "footer" is
- transmitted.
-
- In the directory "!Term93.user_1" is a file also named footer, DO NOT change
- this files name but the contents can be changed and they should be the name
- of the footer file in the directory "!Term93.user_2".
-
- One suggested use is as follows :
-
- A number of messages are prepared for sending using !Edit and could take the
- following format
-
- SP G4RQN @ GB7OPC
- Message 1
- Text of message.
- Ú
- SP G4RQN @ GB7OPC
- Message 2
- Text of message.
- Ú
- SP G4RQN @ GB7OPC
- Message 3
- Text of message.
- Ú
-
- Each time the Ú character is seen the file "footer" will be inserted.
- The last Ú should be followed by pressing the <Return> key.
-
- The character Ú is aquired by holding down either <Alt> key and pressing in
- turn the keys 2 1 and 8 on THE NUMERIC KEYBOARD, then release the <Alt> key.
-
- If at the right hand end of a line of text in the file "footer" the text
- "{TIME}" is included (at the right hand end only) the currect time/date text
- will be inserted.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- On starting !Term93 two windows open, they are 'receive' and 'transmit'.
- ------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
-
-
-
- Using the tx window.
- --------------------
-
-
-
- If the tx window has the caret (yellow surround) then any
- character with a value lower than 32 (i.e. < a space) will
- immediatly be transmitted to the tnc. This allows the user
- to send characters such as ControlC (^C) ControlZ (^Z) etc.
- Pressing the <Escape> key sends the character value 27.
- These characters are NOT followed by a return character
- you have to do that if required. However a few have been
- taken for use as hot-keys and they are:
- 2 ^B
- 5 ^E
- 6 ^F
- 15 ^O
- 18 ^R
- 23 ^W
- (^ means either <Ctrl> key)
-
-
- In the tx window there are 6 lines for the input of text to transmit, they
- react as follows.
-
- At the first space after the 65th character a carriage line is inserted to
- allow continous typing while you look for the keys ! After the 79th
- character on continous lines.
-
- The caret may be moved up and down with the cursor keys and will go to the
- end of any line with less than 79 characters in it, on lines with 79+
- characters the caret will move to the start of the line, moving it to the
- end of full lines will cause that line to be transmitted.
-
- All lines react in the usual way to delete, copy, control+left or right
- cursor keys and clear with control+U.
-
- When the tx window has the caret the following keys are active.
- (^B Means to hold down a control key and whilst doing so pressing
- one other key, in this case the letter "B")
-
- f1 Brings up the help window.
- f2 Toggles the receive buffer.
- f3 Opens the 'save as' window.
- f4 Will attempt to save as much from the receive screen as
- there is room in the receive buffer.
- f5 Will copy the contents of the receive buffer into an !Edit
- window, running !Edit if necessary. Subsequent saves will
- open a further !Edit window if one is already open.
- f6 Transmit a previously dragged file.
- f7 Toggles whether transmit text is sent to the rx buffer.
- f8 Opens the 'Search' window if there is anything in the
- rx buffer.
- f9 Sends a file WHICH MUST BE CALLED "!Term93.User_2.On_Line"
- to your TNC.
- f10 Sends a file WHICH MUST BE CALLED "!Term93.User_2.Off_Line"
- to your TNC.
- ^f6 (<Ctrl>+f6) Will abandon a current file transmit.
- f11 Toggles rx buffer.
- ^B Toggles the receive buffer. (CHR$2)
- ^E Empties the receive buffer. (CHR$5)
- ^F Toggles the 'spool to disc' option, where a duplicate file
- exists the new text is appended with a warning. (CHR$6)
- ^O Opens up the user directories for editing.
- ^R Opens the review (rx buffer) window. (CHR$18)
- ^W Opens the 'Search' window if there is anything in the
- rx buffer.
-
- Clicking on the "number of lines free" icon (thats the one with the numbers
- in it) will toggle the rx buffer.
-
-
-
-
-
- Using the rx window.
- --------------------
-
- Pressing the right hand ('adjust') mouse button in this window will clear
- the window, confirmation is required.
-
- Read messages.
-
- Pressing the left hand ('select') mouse button while holding down either
- <Alt> key while the pointer is also over a line of text in either the
- receive window or the review window will copy the left hand word (up to the
- first space) into any line in the tx window that has the caret. This is
- meant to be used to copy over message numbers from a "L" list sent by a BBS.
- The first time the message number is preceeded by "R ".
-
- Kill messages.
-
- Pressing the left hand ('select') mouse button while holding down either
- <Shift> key while the pointer is also over a line of text in either the
- receive window or the review window will copy the left hand word (up to the
- first space) into any line in the tx window that has the caret. This is
- meant to be used to copy over message numbers from a "L" list sent by a BBS.
- The first time the message number is preceeded by "K ".
-
-
- Pressing down either <Ctrl> key will result in the whole line being copied down.
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Using the 'TX misc' window
- --------------------------
-
-
- The icons in this window are made up using the first ten filenames (see
- note below) found in the directory "!Term93.user_2". When the required filename
- is clicked on that file is sent to the tnc. Note that NO check is done as to
- whether you are connectd or not.
-
- Note : There is no real need to have ten files in "!Term93.user_2" as
- the window is sized as required for up to 10.
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Using the 'Cmd line' window
- ---------------------------
-
- Any text that you wish to send to your tnc or transmit can be included in
- this window, control characters are produced by using 2 character
- combinations.
-
- Click with 'select' in the writeable icon and type in the required text, use
- the mouse on the up/down arrows or use the cursor keys to move up/down, 32
- entries are allowed.
-
- Click with 'select' on 'Save' to save your edited lines.
-
- Click with 'select' on 'OK' to send the entry showing in the writeable icon.
-
- Press <return> with the caret in the writeable icon to send that entry.
-
- Certain control characters can be included in the text (it is NOT necessary
- to put 'Control M' i.e. return at the end of a line) and can be entered in
- upper or lower case as the following examples show.
-
- For Control+C enter |C or ^c
- For Control+M enter ^M or |m
-
- The | character or the ^ character may be used.
-
- The following control characters are catered for :
-
- |C Control C Character 3
- |M Control M Carriage return
- |N Control N
- |O Control O
- |V Control V Preceeds |M in multi-line CTEXT messages.
- |Z Control Z
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Using the 'Tnc cmd' window
- --------------------------
-
-
-
-
- The icons in this window are made up using the first six (See note below)
- commands found in the file "!Term93.user_1.monitor" and if there are less
- than six then lines are used from the file "!Term93.user_1.commands". The
- commands shown are sent to the tnc and a check for the connect status is
- done, therefore they MAY BE USED WHILE CONNECTED. See note ###.
-
- Note ### : Commands to the tnc selected from this menu may be sent while
- connected but will not work properly if the rs port 'ring indicator' is not
- wired up.
-
- Note : Less than six entries total in "!Term93.user_1.monitor" and
- "!Term93.user_1.commands" will result in the window being sized as required.
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Using the Search window.
- ------------------------
-
- This window can be opened by selecting 'Search' from the main menu or by
- pressing <Ctrl>W or function key 8 (f8) while the tx window has the caret
- and there is text in the receive buffer.
-
- You may then enter the text to look for (up to 80 characters) and press
- <Return> or click on the 'OK' button to commence the search.
- Should the text be found then the review window will open with the text
- hi-lighted and you may then continue to search for the next occurence or the
- previous one, the lower icon reports on the success or otherwise.
-
- Clicking on "Count" will count the number of lines in which the
- 'searched for' text appears.
-
- PLEASE NOTE THAT AT PRESENT THESE FUNCTIONS ARE 'CASE SENSITIVE' i.e. that
- means that a search for G4RQN will NOT locate g4rqn or G4rqn etc. This I
- hope to change when time permits.
-
-
- Clicking on 'Open save box' does just that.
-
- The default text appearing in the writeable icon is user definable in the
- file "!Term93.cosmetic.HiLites" (see below).
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Using the Password window.
- --------------------------
-
-
- It is a sad fact that many people are having to use a password entry to
- their local BBS simply to stop messages sometimes of a crude nature from
- being uploaded in their name by someone pirating their callsign.
-
- On 'NNA' BBS's a password system is used where the user gets from his or her
- sysop a matrix of characters, on calling up the bbs the user must then send
- a certain character, wait for a reply and in turn reply with certain
- characters read from the matrix. So why not let the program do it for you.
-
- Step 1 Contact you sysop and assuming it is an 'NNA' type BBS then get the
- sysop to send you a password matrix.
-
- Step 2 Click on 'Clear'.
- Type the characters in the matrix into the corresponding writeable
- icons in the password window. Also write in the BBS prompt EXACTLY
- as it appears to you in the lower writeable icon.
-
- Step 3 Enter your local BBS callsign in the top writeable icon.
-
- Step 4 Click on save.
-
- Step 5 Click on the icon containing the figure '1'. the '1' will change to a
- '2' and you may then repeat steps 2 to 5 for another BBS.
- Two entries are allowed for.
-
- You may now either click on the 'GO' button beside the BBS callsign to log
- on and exchange password info or if you are already connected click on 'GO'
- next to "Send password only".
-
- * DO NOT SEND ANYTHING ELSE TO THE BBS UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THE PASSWORD *
- * EXCHANGE IS OVER. *

- The colours of the receive and review windows are user definable but as the
- colours used (in my humble opinion) are unlikely to be frequently changed
- they are defined in a file as follows.

-
- The transmit window text colour (that you type) is not definable.
-
- Version 1.5 (on) includes the facility to hi-light certain lines in the
- review window. To edit this facility drag the file
- "!Term93.cosmetic.HiLites" into !Edit. The file contains three lines which
- you may edit, they are:
-
- Line 1 The colour used for the hi-light (use colour numbers from the
- palette window).
-
- Line 2 First text iem to be looked for.
-
- Line 3 Second text item to be looked for.
-
- Example file.

- RISCOS
- ARCHIM
- GB7OPC
- EOF DO NOT DELETE OR ADD LINES ABOVE THIS ONE.
- !Term93.cosmetic.HiLites **** DO NOT RENAME ****
-
- The first line is the colour (desktop) number for the high-lite.
- The next two lines contain text to be looked for, note this is
- case sensitive.
- The fourth line is used as a default in the 'search' window.
-
- The program also hi-lights any line containing your call as entered into the
- writeable icon in the bottom of the log window.
-
-
-
-
- Messages.
- ---------
-
- This version includes a file "messages" which MUST NOT be renamed.
-
- This file may be translated as required but please if you pass on a copy
- then pass on the original "messages" file to the new user. Any modified
- strings MUST NOT be over 200 characters in length and the text up to AND
- INCLUDING the colon (e.g. "txt1:") MUST REMAIN UNCHANGED.
-
- I would appreciate copies of any non english translations.
-
- To create a multi line CTEXT message
-
- In a !Edit window type the following line or at least a version of it noting
- the @# characters.
-
- CTEXT Hello from Neil in King's Lynn@#If i do not respond then try a message in G4RQN-3 >>
-
- Move the caret back to before the @# characters.
- Press f4 to bring up the !Edit 'Find text' dialogue box.
- Click on 'Magic characters'.
- Type in the top line @#
- Type in the next line \X16\X0D (NOTE the backslash).
-
- The !Edit 'Find text' dialogue box writeable icons should now contain the following
- @#
- \X16\X0D
-
- Click on "GO".
- Click on "End of file replace".
-
- Save the resulting file in the directory "!Term93.user_2" using a sensible
- filename from where it can be sent to the tnc.
-
-
-
- The log.
- --------
-
- !Term93 includes a single entry automatic log facility which when enabled
- will log single connects (i.e. one entry at a time), it can also be used as
- a manual log once again only one entry at a time.
-
- To use as an automatic log simply click on the "Misc." menu entry "Logging"
- if it is not already the default. On a connect the start time and callsign
- are noted and the callsign shown at the top of the rx window. On a
- disconnect the entry is closed and written to the log file which is in
- !LogBook which you should also receive.
-
- Automatic entries may be edited in the log window PRESS THE
- RETURN OR ENTER KEY when the caret is in the callsign icon to edit an
- automatic entry or open a manual entry.
-
- You may close an entry at any time by clicking on the "Close entry" in the
- log window.
-
- To make a "Close down" entry click on the "Close log" icon.
-
- Manual entries. A manual entry can be made whenever there is not already a
- manual or automatic entry open but note that manually opened entries MUST be
- closed manually.
-
- To have your most used data already in the log window as a default simply
- enter them into the "Freq", "Mode" and "Power" writeable icons ands click
- the "Save" icon.
-
- If an entry is still open when you quit !Term93 then it is saved, a warning
- box appears to remind you.
-
- If !Term93 has been installed on the icon bar and the application
- !LogBook HAS NOT BEEN SEEN then the log window and auto-logging will be
- unavailable, to re-enable the log facility simply open a directory which
- contains !LogBook. Although it is easiest ot have !LogBook in the root
- directory of your packet or hard disc my understanding of the regulations
- is that the log MUST BE KEPT ON A DISC USED SOLELY FOR THAT PURPOSE (it's up
- to you).
-
- ********** IMPORTANT **********
-
- YOU SHOULD ENTER YOUR OWN CALLSIGN IN UPPER CASE INTO THE LOWER CENTRAL
- WRITEABLE ICON AS THIS IS USED TO PREVENT THE AUTO-LOGGING FACILITY
- FROM LOGGING CALLS TO YOUR OWN PBBS. Then click on "Save".
-
- The program may reset some tnc parameters should it think that the user is
- still G4RQN
-
-
-
-
- NOTES
- =====
- Files to be transmitted should be dragged to the icon or a window
- ONLY after any tnc set up files have been sent (those selected from the user
- sub menu) otherwise the dragged file will be forgotten.
-
- Files dragged directly from !Edit are temporarily stored in the directory
- "!Term93.Temp" as a file called "Temp", this file is deleted after sending
- or on a transmit abort command. The only thing to remember here is that you
- MUST have enough room on the disc containing !Term93 to store the "temp"
- file.
-
-
-
- A 'drag save' from such as !Edit is now operational but I have to admit to
- having fudged it somewhat. What happens is that !Edit is told to save to a
- file called "!Term93.temp.temp" and that file is then ready to transmit.
-
- As soon as the file is transmitted or the transmit aborted the file
- "!Term93.temp.temp" is deleted.
-
- One of the results of this is that a 'spool to disc' can be started by
- dragging the lower icon in the save box to a !Term93 window, a file opened
- by selecting "Start" or by pressing <Ctrl>+F. The resulting file can then be
- immediatly transmitted, a second attempt at this without aborting the
- transmit will append the second file to the existing "temp" file.
-
- Another effect is that the buffer can be 'saved' back into !Term93 and again
- transmitted, the rules about dragging the buffer repeatedly again apply.
-
- On running !Term93 any file called "!Term93.temp.temp" is deleted.
