-
- ...Does 'e? Oh. Right. S'pose I'd better do it, then.
-
- Erm.. What is Null?
-
- !Null does very little. It just sits on the icon bar, looking rather out of
- place, waiting for someone to click on it (aaaah...).
-
- When the icon is clicked on, a filer winodw entitled Null: will open up.
- Now, not a lot of people know this, but the Null: winodow is, in
- effect, a built-in desktop dustbin that comes with RISC OS, and it's just a
- matter of issuing the command to open it. Then, files can be SHIFT-dragged
- to the window where they will be deleted. However, opening the window
- entails pressing F12, typing Filer_OpenDir Null:$, and pressing RETURN
- twice. All right, this isn't much to ask someone to do, but a lot of people
- prefer sticking to using either mouse or keyboard, and not having to enter
- command line mode if they can use a desktop utility in order to avoid it.
- (I'm one of them!)
-
-
- WARNING:
-
- After a file has been SHIFT-dragged to the Null: window, it will be deleted
- and is therefore unrecoverable. Therefore, because of the nature of this
- program and since usage of the program is beyond my control, I cannot take
- responsibility for any loss of data caused by carelessly moving files to the
- Null: window. Always double-check files to ensure that you are deleting the
- correct object.
