  1.                 DeskPass - Help

  4. DeskPass is a tiny (and I mean TINY!) programme to
  5. stick in you boot sequence to be run from the
  6. supervisor. It will not run properly from the
  7. desktop.
  8.  
  9. The Default username and password are both
  10. 'THEDATAFILE' - you should change them ASAP.
  11.  
  12. DeskPass is based on Mark Shaws disc access prog.
  13. Although this in no way resembles his programme
  14. because it has been hacked so much, thanks go to
  15. him.

  17. If you only have a simple !Boot file that has been
  18. created using the TaskManager, then you will need to
  19. do the following to run it:
  20.  
  21. 1. Rename !Boot to Desktop.
  22. 2. Create Directory called !Boot.
  23. 3. Run !Edit and type the following (you need to
  24.    press return once at the end):
  25.  
  26.        Run <Obey$Dir>.DeskPass
  27.        Desktop -File <Obey$Dir>.Desktop
  28.     
  29. 4. You should then save this as '!Run' inside '!Boot'
  30.    and set it's filetype as Obey.
  31. 5. Copy DeskPass into !Boot.
  32. 6. Press F12 and type the following:

  34.        *Configure FileSystem ADFS
  35.        *Configure Drive 4
  36.        *Configure Boot
  37.        *Opt 4,2
  38.  
  39.    Please note that 'ADFS' and 'Drive 4' should be
  40.    changed to whatever filing system and drive you
  41.    wish to run your !Boot sequence from.

  43. 7. Do a <Ctrl> <Break> and type in your password.
