- DeskPass - Help
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
- DeskPass is a tiny (and I mean TINY!) programme to
- stick in you boot sequence to be run from the
- supervisor. It will not run properly from the
- desktop.
-
- The Default username and password are both
- 'THEDATAFILE' - you should change them ASAP.
-
- DeskPass is based on Mark Shaws disc access prog.
- Although this in no way resembles his programme
- because it has been hacked so much, thanks go to
- him.
-
- If you only have a simple !Boot file that has been
- created using the TaskManager, then you will need to
- do the following to run it:
-
- 1. Rename !Boot to Desktop.
- 2. Create Directory called !Boot.
- 3. Run !Edit and type the following (you need to
- press return once at the end):
-
- Run <Obey$Dir>.DeskPass
- Desktop -File <Obey$Dir>.Desktop
-
- 4. You should then save this as '!Run' inside '!Boot'
- and set it's filetype as Obey.
- 5. Copy DeskPass into !Boot.
- 6. Press F12 and type the following:
-
- *Configure FileSystem ADFS
- *Configure Drive 4
- *Configure Boot
- *Opt 4,2
-
- Please note that 'ADFS' and 'Drive 4' should be
- changed to whatever filing system and drive you
- wish to run your !Boot sequence from.
-
- 7. Do a <Ctrl> <Break> and type in your password.
