  3. Custom Technologies is a member of the Association of Shareware Professionals
  4. (ASP).  The ASP is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of
  5. Washington.
  6.  
  7. The ASP is made up of professional shareware authors nationwide, and is
  8. dedicated to furthering the concept of shareware as an alternative to
  9. commercial software.  The authors share a code of ethics and have agreed to
  10. comply with standards of quality, documentation, and support set by the ASP.

  13. supported shareware.

  31.      Two specific bugs have been fixed.  First, checks may now be
  32. printed in any selected pitch (version 1.02 was "stuck" in elite)
  33. and second, a rare problem with date indexing was corrected.  If
  34. you notice any transactions out of date sequence, you should
  35. REBUILD the data files using the REBUILD feature of version 1.03
  36. (the REBUILD feature of 1.02 is not robust enough to correct the
  37. problem).

  39.      New features include a more robust REBUILDing algorithm that
  40. maximizes recovery of data in the event of system crashes or
  41. "odd" circumstances, calculation and reporting of totals after
  42. transaction reports, and date "memory" during transaction entry.
  43. This means that CheckMate will default to the last date entered
  44. instead of the DOS date while entering transactions.  We have
  45. also improved the searching algorithms (resulting in greater
  46. speed).

  53. Three corrections have been made to version 1.03.  First, the  MATCH
  54. criteria has been corrected so that transactions on the ENDING DATE
  55. are included in the reports.  Second, the REBUILDING algorithm has
  56. been adjusted to correct the account balance following corruption to
  57. the data file itself.  Finally, a DOS file-handle error was fixed so
  58. that changes made to the data files immediately after a REBUILD are
  59. not lost.

  73. An "Expensed" flag field has been added to the transactions as an
  74. interface to CheckMate-GL, our new multiple-entry general ledger

  103. CheckMate will now support the use of window envelopes as it can now
  104. print addresses on your checks.  This feature is optional per account
  105. and you specify your choice in the ENTER or EDIT ACCOUNTS module.

  107. We've added mouse support!  If you have a Microsoft or Mouse Systems
  108. compatible mouse, CheckMate will recognize it as an input device.
  109. (NOTE: You must load your mouse driver first).  The left button acts
  110. as the <CR> key, and the right button as the <ESC> key.

  112. The RECONCILE account module has been modified to allow quick fixes
  113. of incorrectly entered amounts.  Press <F2> while reconciling to
  114. immediately alter a transaction amount.

  116. We've added a few additional print variables for the checks, including
  117. the ability to print left-justified *'s in numerical amounts.  We've
  118. also added additional text strings to assist in printing check stubs.

  132. One problem was fixed.  DOS 2.X (and some generic versions of DOS 3.X) do not
  133. initialize the MOUSE INTERRUPT (int 51).  When CheckMate called this interrupt
  134. to check for the mouse, the computer  would hang.  Version 1.70 first confirms
  135. the validity of the interrupt before actually calling it.
