The Lßnc Bridge was the first permanent bridge in Budapest. It was built at the initiative at Istvßn SzΘchenyi. The designer was T. W. and the constructro was Adam Clarck. It was built between 1839-49. The Bridge was one of the most prestigious one of the main landmarks of the capital. According to an old joke, the Tunnel was built opposite the Lßnc Bridge so that is could be pushed in if it rains.
