The work of Jßnos Pßsztor was planned to be unveiled in 1931 for the 100th anniversary of Kazinczy's death but happened only in 1936. The monument represents a woman carrying an oil lamp. On the relief of the pedestal there is the portrait of the linguist Kazinczy. The square behind the statue could best preserve the atmosphere of the 18-19th century castle area.
