  13. QuickTime or Windows, version 2.1.2 (included), 
  14. graphics card and monitor with 256 colours
  15. and a resolution of 640 x 480 (S-VGA),
  16. 6x CD-ROM drive (750 kB/sec.),
  17. multi-channel sound card (22.05 kHz, stereo),
  18. mouse or similar input device.

  21. Installation instructions

  23. In Windows 95, the start program is normally called up
  24. automatically after the CD has been placed in the drive.
  25. Should the automatic start function for CD-ROMs ("Autorun") be
  26. deactivated on your computer or should you want to restart the
  27. CD directly after quitting the program, please call up the file
  28. "Start_95.EXE" on the CD-ROM.

  30. In Windows 3.1 please display the contents of the CD-ROM in
  31. the Windows File Manager and call up the start program by double
  32. clicking on "Start_31.exe".

  35. QuickTime for Windows
  36.  
  37. In order to view the QuickTime films in better quality, we
  38. recommend that you use a colour display with 32,000 colours.
  39. Please note, however, that this higher colour resolution may
  40. slow down processing and other applications on some system
  41. configurations. 
  42.  
  43. In order to ensure error-free playback we also recommend that
  44. you deactivate your installed screen saver. Please also note
  45. the QuickTime instructions below.

  47. QuickTime and Windows 95
  48. In order to be able to view the QuickTime videos, the QuickTime
  49. for Windows version 2.1.2. must be installed on your computer.
  50. Should QuickTime not be installed, the program will report this.
  51. In this case please go to the CD-ROM directory "QT_Inst" and call
  52. up the file "QTInst32.exe" and then follow the installation
  53. instructions.

  55. QuickTime and Windows 3.1
  56. In order to be able to view the digital QuickTime videos,
  57. the QuickTime for Windows version 2.1.2. must be installed
  58. on your computer. Should QuickTime not be installed, the
  59. program will report this. In this case please go to the CD-ROM
  60. directory "QT_Inst" and call up the file "QTInst16.exe" and
  61. then follow the installation instructions.

  63. QuickTime and Windows NT
  64. Should there be problems on your Windows NT system with regard 
  65. to video playback, please go to the directory 'QT_Inst' on the 
  66. CD-ROM. Call up the file 'QTInst16.exe' and follow the 
  67. instructions. Then start the CD-ROM by clicking on the file 
  68. 'Start_31.exe'.

  73. In the CD-ROM application you can directly access the BMW
  74. homepage using an Internet Browser. For this you need to have
  75. a Browser with mail program already installed (Netscape
  76. Navigator 3.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or higher)
  77. as well as an activated and configured Internet connection.
  78. When the CD-ROM application and the Browser are used in parallel,
  79. the memory requirement given in the respective system requirements
  80. increases by the memory required by the respective Browser
  81. (additionally approx. 10 Mbyte).

  84. Screen saver
  85.  
  86. We have produced a BMW screen saver for you which you can
  87. install from the CD-ROM application. You will find it on the
  88. "Quit" page. Please note the respective installation instructions
  89. and the fact that the memory requirements given in the respective
  90. system requirements is increased by 2.5 Mbyte when the screen saver
  91. and application are used in parallel.
