===== Information for Users ("READ-ME") ================
This package contains DAZZLE Version 5.2, by Worldwide MicroTronics, Inc.
This document contains only a brief description of the package and its
features, along with instructions for its installation. Quite detailed
documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived form, and
is more easily read after installation. The command DAZZLE /Z will create
the DAZZLE.DOC User's Manual on your current drive (be sure to run the
command on your hard disk where there is room for the file).
DAZZLE is the 2D image engine subset from the best selling full retail
RAZZLE DAZZLE ultimate DOS & Windows multimedia screen saver. This manual
(non-TSR) program has many of the same images and menus as, but not the
self-starting drivers of, the retail version. Now the generally
recognized defacto standard for self-directing computer art. When you
register this version of DAZZLE you will receive the best-selling full-
featured program as your upgrade. Use the DAZZLE /$ for details.
There is much you can do with this program, it is rich in features and
options. When you first run DAZZLE let your mind relax and plan on
spending some time with it. What you are watching is totally unique,
because whatever it does on the screen will not be repeated exactly for
many MANY days of use. There are literally BILLIONS of images in the
DAZZLE assortment. Every time you run it something totally new and
wonderful happens on your screen. When you are ready to explore the
spectrum of features offered by DAZZLE print out the DAZZLE.DOC User's
Manual and enjoy mastering something the likes of which you have never
seen.
DAZZLE is a shareware program. This evaluation version includes many
features of the registered program. You may use it for up to 15 days,
without charge. If you like the program, and wish to continue its use
after this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program
(see DAZZLE.DOC for more details or use the DAZZLE /$ command to get an
order form). Any fee you may have paid to others (disk vendors, dealers,
etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a fee for their copying and
distribution services, rather than a payment for continued use of the
program. As of this version of DAZZLE, we now provide users who register
DAZZLE with a copy of the full-featured self-starting best-selling retail
program! You can buy the full program NOW from our WEB site at
http://www.microtronics.com
Thanks for your support.

===== Installation =====================================
The installation procedure for DAZZLE is quite simple. You will need
about 190KB of available disk space on the hard drive on which you plan
to install DAZZLE to hold the main program.
The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
DAZZLE.
INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
o Place DAZZLE distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
appropriate diskette drive.
o Make a directory for the DAZZLE progam. A typical DOS session
would be as follows:
C:
CD \
MKDIR DAZZLE
CD DAZZLE
You have now made a directory, and have changed the default
location to that new directory.
o IF YOUR DISKETTE CONTAINS FILES WITH THE .ZIP FILE NAME EXTENSION:
Execute the "PKUNZIP.EXE" or "UNZIP.EXE" program. If you do not
have either of these then contact the supplier of the diskette
for a current copy of PKUNZIP.EXE.
For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, a
typical DOS command would be:
PKUNZIP A:DAZ*.zip
This will extract the DAZZLE.EXE file from the ZIP file on drive
A:. The "DAZ*.ZIP" should allow the program to work regardless of
the version naming convention used on the diskette (like:
DAZZL51C.ZIP for DAZZLE Version 5.1c, or the like).
o IF YOUR DISKETTE DOES NOT CONTAIN FILES WITH THE .ZIP EXTENSION:
Simply copy the files to your hard disk.
COPY A:\*.*
o Once the DAZZLE.EXE program is on your hard disk, you can use this
DOS command to extract the integrated User's Manual:
DAZZLE /Z
This will create a file called DAZZLE.DOC, which has the User's
Manual and other important information and license terms. Y
