  2. SOFTWARE COPYRIGHT AND LICENSE AGREEMENT

  5. The use and copying of this product is subject to a license 
  6. agreement. Any other use is prohibited. No part of this 
  7. publication may be reproduced, transmitted, transcribed, stored in 
  8. a retrieval system or translated into any language in any form by 
  9. any means without prior written consent from the author, Alistair 
  10. Carruthers. Information in this manual is subject to change without 
  11. prior notice and does not represent a commitment on the part of the 
  12. vendor.

  14. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AFRICA SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT AND 
  15. WARRANTY.

  21. This document contains legal binding information about licensing and 
  22. distribution policy of WEBactive. If you do not agree to abide by 
  23. the conditions and rules as stated in this agreement, please remove 
  24. your copy of WEBactive.

  27. 1) The Term WEBactive refers to WEBactive v1.00.
  28. 2) The term "SHAREWARE version"  identifies the complete package 
  29.    containing the Microsoft Windows 95/NT version of WEBactive v1.00.
  30. 3) By complete package we mean: WEBactive's executable file and associated 
  31.    help file.
  32. 4) The term "SHAREWARE copy" identifies an instance of the SHAREWARE 
  33.    version.
  34. 5) The term "REGISTERED version" identifies a SHAREWARE version 
  35.    WEBactive , together with registered user information being entered.
  36. 6) The term "REGISTERED copy" identifies an instance of the REGISTERED 
  37.    version.

  39. No component part of WEBactive  may be distributed individually, 
  40. disassembled, copied,reverse-engineered, or altered in any form. 
  41. This includes all elements in the WEBactive package, interface 
  42. items, menus and dialogs, in both the Registered and Unregistered 
  43. Shareware versions of the software.

  45. SHAREWARE VERSIONS MAY BE USED BY PRIVATE AND COMMERCIAL PARTIES 
  46. FOR TRIAL EVALUATION FOR A PERIOD NOT EXCEEDING 20 DAYS AFTERWHICH 
  47. CONTINUED USAGE WILL REQUIRE REGISTRATION. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO 
  48. THIS WILL RESULT IN LEGAL PROSECUTION. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO MAKE 
  49. USE OF WEBactive AFTER THIS EVALUATION PERIOD WEBactive SHOULD BE 
  50. TOTALLY REMOVED FROM THE SYSTEM.

  52. DISTRIBUTION
  53. ============

  55. SHAREWARE copies may be freely distributed by individual users for 
  56. trial and leisure usage.
  57.  
  58. SHAREWARE copies may be uploaded to Bulletin Board Systems, FTP Sites, 
  59. Usenet newsgroups and network sites providing its users with access to 
  60. download it for trial leisure purposes. Bulletin Board Systems should 
  61. restrict downloading charges for the SHAREWARE version to flat rate 
  62. connection fees.

  64. SHAREWARE copies may NOT be distributed as a component of any 
  65. commercial software collection including but not limited to 
  66. Shareware CDROMS and Internet Starter Kits without prior written 
  67. consent from the author and/or distributor. Permission is granted 
  68. to those who are in posession of a "Non-exclusive Shareware 
  69. Distribution License"

  71. REGISTERED copies may only be distributed by the author of WEBactive,
  72. or by the official distributor, itAfrica. REGISTRATION entitles the 
  73. user to run one copy of WEBactive at a time. If you wish to run more 
  74. than one copy of WEBactive simultaneously additional registered 
  75. copies will have to be purchased for each machine that will be 
  76. running WEBactive. Individual users or sites who wish to use this 
  77. version of LView Pro as a software tool are required to register.

  79. NON-EXCLUSIVE SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTION LICENSE AGREEMENT

  82. A Non-exclusive Shareware Distribution License Agreement must be 
  83. signed by the official distributor Information Technology Africa 
  84. (itAFRICA) or the author of WEBactive  BEFORE:
  85.  
  86. 1) Including WEBactive in a software product package
  87.  
  88. 2) Distribution of WEBactive in any form, including but not limited 
  89. to, Shareware CDROM disks and Internet Starter Kits, be it for 
  90. Commercial or Educational purpose.

  93. AGREEMENTS MAY, AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE LICENSER, INCLUDE 
  94. CUSTOMIZATION OF PROGRAM INTERFACE AND/OR EXECUTION FILE OR EVEN 
  95. TOTAL DISCLOSURE OF THE SOURCE CODE, MAINTENANCE AND/OR UPGRADE
