2XCOPY.ZIP 20400 05-24-94 2XCopy 1.0 is a set of batch files, designed
| for novice computer users, to simplify the
| task of copying files from floppies to
| directories on the hard drive. (John De
| Palma) (Reg.Fee: $0)
ACTAEON.ZIP 150033 03-05-94 ActaeOn is a hard disk manager with a point
| and shoot interface. It provides a graphical
| representation of a directory tree and in a
| window to the side, shows the files in each
| directory as you move through the tree. You
| can find a file or string within files, and
| multiple files can be copied or moved. Other
| features include mouse support, text editor,
| and full context sensitive help. Additional
| features include the ability to change file
| attributes; edit new file; print file lists,
| a directory tree, and text file; and viewing
| of any size file in ASCII, Hex, ZIP, LZH,
| GIF, and DBF formats. (Jon Clempner)
| (Reg.Fee: $40)
ARCOPY.ZIP 11026 02-16-93 Arcopy 1.72 is a small, fast file copy
| utility. Its options include file-by-file
| verification; copying only if not in the
| destination disk/directory or only if already
| in the destination or only if changed since
| last backup; moving files (copy and then
| delete the original); copying files listed in
| a text file; and you can copy files with a
| time/date stamp before or after a specified
| time/date. (Eric Meyer) (Reg.Fee: $0)
BAKERA.ZIP 21307 12-07-93 Bakera 6.5E searches multiple drives and
| subirectories for files with certain
| extensions, such as .bak and .sik, and
| deletes them. It also includes options to
| prompt you with every discovery, show name,
| size and date, allow you to view the file
| before deleting, and delete only files beyond
| a certain date. (Ralf Eichler) (Reg.Fee: $10)
BBCT40.ZIP 85118 09-30-94 BobCat 4.0 is a directory and file manager
| that performs over 40 different operations.
| It includes a file viewer, file searching, a
| screen blanker and more. (William Cravener)
| (Reg.Fee: $0)
BCMOVE.ZIP 18095 03-05-91 BCMove 1.2 is a virtually perfect file moving
| utility. Its command syntax is nearly
| identical to the DOS Copy command, making it
| easy and intuitive to use. It warns before
| overwriting an existing file. If you move
| files to a non-existent directory, some file
| movers will either simply abort or, worse
| yet, will conclude that you are renaming the
| files - all to the same file name, causing
| the loss of those files. BCMove will give you
| the choice of creating a new subdirectory or
| renaming the file. BCMove is fast, doesn't
| mess up the screen with strange colors, and
| best of all, it's freeware. (Barry L
| Campbell) (ASP) (Reg.Fee: $0)
BKU.ZIP 1448 06-22-89 BKU copies only un-archived files and sets
| the archive bit. (Keith P. Graham) (Reg.Fee:
| $0)
CDPSW.ZIP 128948 03-05-94 Cliff's Directory Program is a pop-up file
| manager and directory utility. Its main
| display has three windows plus a menu bar.
| One window is a graphical directory tree that
| also shows the number of files and total disk
| space used by the directory. Another window
| shows the files in each directory as you move
| through the tree. The third window shows
| disk, directory and file statistics. Features
| include the usual file management functions
| (move, copy, erase, rename, view, execute,
| etc.) except archiving. We feel obliged to
| point out that most of the claims the author
| makes about the uniqueness of this program
| (eg: "the only TSR that can be loaded twice",
| "the only pop-up file manager that uses less
| than 160k") are not correct. Nevertheless,
| the program is very fast, easy to use, and
| well worth a look. (Cliff Roberson) (Reg.Fee:
| $40)
CLEARFIL.ZIP 11286 06-22-89 Clearfil 1.0 securely deletes files by first
| writing all 1's into the files followed by
| all 0's prior to deleting them so that no
| snooper utility can ever recover sensitive
| files. It will display and delete any
| read-only, hidden or system files. (Normally,
| deleting a file only changes the directory
| entry and the contents of the file are still
| on the disk until overwritten by an active
| file.) (Dr. Masaaki Sawada) (Reg.Fee: $10-$20)
CLNUP.ZIP 11058 10-05-93 CleanUp 1.0 cleans up your hard drive by
| deleting any BAK, $$$, TMP, SYD or OLD files.
| Also deletes files with file length of zero.
| (Brian D. Catlin) (Reg.Fee: $0)
CLNUPRL.ZIP 4287 05-29-89 Cleanup 1.2 displays the first 10 lines of
| specified files and allows you to delete the
| file if you wish. (Robert F. Litt) (Reg.Fee:
| $10)
COMEBACK.ZIP 256383 05-20-94 ComeBack 3.01 will recover up to 1000 files
| that have been deleted, copied over, or
| edited. It consists of a TSR, consuming less
| than 15k of memory, which keeps track of
| recoverable files and a utility for
| recovering files. The program will allow you
| to include or exclude up to 20 file
| extensions and define a list of files which
| will be either excluded or included.
| (MicroTools Inc) (Reg.Fee: $25)
COPYFIL.ZIP 16025 09-20-89 Copy Files 5.3 is a robust file coping
| utility. It allows multiple filenames to be
| specified on the command line. It will create
| a target directory if it does not exist. You
| can tell it to automatically overwrite or not
| overwrite files of the same name in the
| target disk/directory. (Works with Move
| Files, below.) (Bryan Higgins) (Reg.Fee: $0)
COPYIT.ZIP 44092 01-25-90 Copyit 2.10 is a file copy utility designed
| to be much more complete than the standard
| DOS COPY command. It will optionally prompt
| you before copying each file, check to make
| sure no files of the same name will be
| overwritten at the destination, use multiple
| target disks when the first one gets full,
| delete the original when done, copy files
| based on date or size or attribute, and
| optimize copying to disks to fill them as
| completely as possible. Other features
| include the ability to move files to multiple
| diskettes instead of just copying them, a "%
| complete" indicator, the ability to exclude
| specified files and more. (Frank J. Condron)
| (Reg.Fee: $15)
COPYPLUS.ZIP 9026 06-24-94 Copy+ 2.1 copies diskettes when formats are
| different. It allows you to copy, move,
| rename or erase specified files in a
| directory, entire branch or disk. (Gerald
| R. Brown) (Reg.Fee: $10)
COPYSAFE.ZIP 1214 08-10-94 CopySafe is a resident utility that warns
| you when a target disk\PATH contains a file
| with the same name as a file you are copying,
| to prevent accidental overcopying. (Reg.Fee:
| $0)
CTRL3_77.ZIP 145004 06-17-94 Control 3 7.7 allows you to view up to three
| directories at once. It is easy to move
| through directories and between drives in the
| program's multi-menu environment. You can
| execute, copy, delete, rename, sort, and
| print files and more, as well as make and
| remove subdirectories, including whole tree
| structures. Other features include a built-in
| editor and file viewer, directory lists, DOS
| shell, file encryption, proportional disk
| space indicator, DOS command support, and
| quick file and directory find. (Kevin Solway)
| (Reg.Fee: $20)
D_MA.ZIP 60505 09-14-93 D 1.2 is a file management utility. (Mike
| Albert) (Reg.Fee: $25)

| same extension in the current directory and
| all subdirectories. It can also remove a
| subdirectory after performing deletions.
| (Omer Yalhi) (Reg.Fee: $13)
DAB140.ZIP 21701 01-11-94 DAB 1.4 will allow you to delete all files
| except those specified at the command line.
| (Scott R. Anderson) (Reg.Fee: $5)
DATEDEL.ZIP 7808 05-29-89 DateDel deletes files within a given range
| of dates. From the DOS command line, you
| enter the name of the file(s) to delete. DOS
| wildcards such as *.* are allowed. Then
| DateDel prompts you for beginning and ending
| dates and deletes files matching the filespec
| with file dates within the specified range. C
| source code included. (Michael J. Roberts)
| (Reg.Fee: $0)
DATEFLT.ZIP 23397 01-23-91 Date Filters lets you erase all files older
| than a specified date and lets you execute
| any DOS command or program on files within a
| specified date range. (Josh Mitteldorf)
| (Reg.Fee: $0)

| hard drive based on their creation dates.
| (Arthur R. McKendry) (Reg.Fee: $30)
DBLDIR.ZIP 142272 07-15-93 Double Directory 1.4 will copy, delete,
| rename and view files; make and remove
| directories and shell and run programs. It
| displays two directories side-by-side. Either

| printer; mouse support; an extensive alarm
| clock system which holds 38 different alarms
| based on daily or calendar events and more.
| (Dave Frailey) (ASP) (Reg.Fee: $63)
DELBUT.ZIP 5575 05-29-89 Delbut 2.1 deletes all files in the specified
| drive and directory EXCEPT files specified on
| the command line. It does not delete hidden
| or read-only files. Assembler source code
| included. (Reg.Fee: $0)
DELEX129.ZIP 51253 08-25-94 DelEx 1.29 allows deleting all files except
| the patterns that you specify. (Samual
| Kaplin) (Reg.Fee: $6)
DELEXT.ZIP 12578 12-07-94 DELExt 2.2 deletes every file in all
| directories with a specified extension. This
| can be used to get rid of all *.BAK files,
| for example. (Robert C. Brackel) (Reg.Fee: $0)
DELT10.ZIP 41872 05-26-94 Deltree.bat 1.0 will prevent you from

DELX130.ZIP 15586 06-26-94 Delete-X 1.30 allows you to exclude specified
| files while performing file deletion. You can

| certain number of days, delete files bigger
| or smaller than a certain size, delete

| directory manager with advanced user-defined

DNAV.ZIP 61435 03-07-94 Disk Navigator is a file and directory
| navigation program. A directory listing is
| first displayed. Pressing J jumps to a list
| of subdirectories. Each directory is numbered
| so that you can quickly change from deep
| within one directory to deep within another
| by entering a number, rather than having to
| lean on your cursor keys for a half-hour.
| Files can be tagged for batch processing and
| multiple directories can be viewed. Other
| features include point-and-shoot macros and
| network compatibility. (Stanley C. Peters)
| (Reg.Fee: $29)
DO_SB.ZIP 40944 01-05-95 Do (SB) 2.2 is a colorful file and
| subdirectory manipulation utility for
| stand-alone systems and networks. In addition
| to standard file navigation commands, such as

DOS_EZ.ZIP 98877 03-07-94 DOS-EZ is a set of file-handling utilities,
| including various kinds of file searching,
| file and directory management, etc.
| Individually, they are no better than similar
| utilities spread throughout the library, but

| one disk. (Reg.Fee: $25)
DOSVIEW.ZIP 268504 08-23-93 DOSview 1.9 is a 3k shell for DOS which
| displays two directory windows at the top of
| the screen while giving you a DOS prompt at
| the bottom. The left window displays
| whichever directory you specify while the
| right window changes automatically as you
| change drives and directories at the prompt.
| The window display may be toggled off for a
| full-screen view of DOS. Function keys let
| you view, edit, copy, delete, and rename
| files. A menu can be brought up for other
| functions. Although the program was designed
| for networks, it works well on a single
| system and is ideal for anyone who does a lot
| of work with files in DOS. (Skip Bremer)
| (Reg.Fee: $40)
DR230.ZIP 138795 04-27-94 Dr2 3.0 is a file management utility. It has
| over 20 different functions including the
| ability to hide, rename, sort, mark, move,
| edit, copy, delete and execute files. Other

| support and more. (James M Voelker) (ASP)
| (Reg.Fee: $20)
DS.ZIP 19008 11-14-94 DS 1.0 allows you to manuever through
| directories, view, copy, delete, move, and
| rename files, change file attributes,
| duplicate files, and more. (Jim Adkins)
| (Reg.Fee: $15-25)
DS421B.ZIP 179185 02-04-94 Directory Scanner 4.21b is a file manager for
| hard disks. It will let you move through
| subdirectories and, within a subdirectory,
| mark files for deletion, copying, or backup.
| You can enter DOS commands and edit files
| (with your editor) without going back to DOS.
| You can also print, move, rename and view
| files. Features include being able to add,
| delete and change the name of directories, to
| display only selected files in a directory by
| using DOS-type wildcards and to sort the
| filenames by name, extension, size, date or
| not at all. DS has on-line, context-sensitive
| help split screen mode, DESQview aware; the
| ability to tag or untag files based on
| read-only, system hidden, archive bits,
| matches or comparisons with name, date,
| and/or size of files; and the ability to
| compare files across split screen displays.
| Users may specify a file printing program to
| be used in place of built-in file printing
| routines. (Nat Martino) (Reg.Fee: $15)
DSECURE.ZIP 7742 08-29-92 DSecure writes over all erased areas of a
| disk so that files cannot be undeleted. When
| DOS deletes a file, it does not remove the
| data files, it simply marks the directory
| entry as deleted. That is why undelete
| utilities can so easily undelete a file. That
| is also why you may be giving people
| personal, confidential information (credit
| card numbers, love letters, etc) every time
| you pass out a floppy that you may have used
| before. Even if someone cannot undelete a
| file on your disk, they may still read the
| sectors with a utility like Norton's. Running
| Dsecure on the disks removes that risk.
| (Garry J. Vass) (Reg.Fee: $0)
DX.ZIP 69626 03-07-94 DX is a powerful replacement for DOS
| commands. Besides allowing more versatile use
| of wildcards (such as "DX *name.*"), it
| offers additional features such as sorted
| directory listing and file finding. DX
| supports multiple inclusion and exclusion
| patterns after a '*'; you can ask for simple
| DIR-like directories or complex directories
| like: dx *t*+my*e;.pas In the example above,
| DX would select all files that have a "t"
| anywhere in their names; AND all files that
| start with "my" and end with "e"; UNLESS they
| had an extension of ".PAS". Files like
| "MYFILE.EXT", "TEST", and "XTY.C" would match
| while "TEST.PAS" would not match. DX can sort
| your files any way you wish and search entire
| directory structures; even match and sort
| files within ARChives and LiBRaries. DX fully
| supports network configurations and supports
| EGA/VGA 43/50-line modes and the Hercules
| 132-column mode. (Robert K Blaine) (ASP)
| (Reg.Fee: $50)
ELIM.ZIP 7581 02-17-91 Elim deletes files not accessible to DOS's

ESSCAN.ZIP 96238 12-30-92 es-Scan 7.0 is a file manager which also
| includes a full-screen editor, batch file
| generator, and text search. It can be run
| from DOS or OS/2. (Erhard Schreck) (Reg.Fee:
| $0)
ET320.ZIP 213053 09-08-94 ElfTree 3.20S is a slick, fast, high capacity
| DOS shell for running applications and
| managing files and directories. There is no
| limit on the length of a menu command line,
| and the program can be made to unload itself
| completely from RAM when running a program,
| making it possible to install TSR's from
| inside the program. Included is a tool to
| compare files in two directories
| byte-by-byte, and one to tag all files that
| have notes attached. You can convert EBCDIC
| files to ASCII while viewing them. There is
| high-speed disk scanning, and support for
| over 16,000 files in 1000 directories across
| 26 drives. A screen saver is also provided.
| NEW: files are now truncated to 0 bytes
| before erasing, changed CDROM key to include
| file times.ile times. (Alan J. Avery) (ASP)
| (Reg.Fee: $35)
EZFILE.ZIP 107163 07-09-93 EasyFile 2.3 displays two different, sorted
| directories side-by-side, allowing you to
| select individual files and groups of files
| for the program to act on. It allows tagging
| and untagging, copy, move, delete, and much
| more. You can quickly move up and down
| directories, displaying and working on their
| files. The double-directory display makes it
| easy to compare directories and copy or move
| files between them. One nifty feature is that
| archive files (ARC, ZIP and LZH) are treated
| like subdirectories: you can point to one,
| press a key, and the contents are quickly
| displayed. Another is a DOS Menu feature for
| running applications from within EasyFile.
| Other features include support for extended
| and expanded memory, and a hexadecimal file
| viewing mode. (Dennis LaBelle) (Reg.Fee: $30)

FILEFRND.ZIP 62101 03-07-94 FileFriend is a memory resident file
| manager. If you've ever been stuck in a
| program that was asking you to enter a
| filename without showing you a list of files,
| you will appreciate being able to pop up
| FileFriend, look at the names, and even mark
| a filename to be fed back as input to the
| original program. (ColePro Software)
| (Reg.Fee: $35)
FILEMAN.ZIP 63602 06-02-93 File-Man 4.25 is a menu-driven file
| management utility. The program has an
| extensive list of features, but it is not
| something that can just be picked up and run.
| The documentation file is over 240k, but it
| cannot be read from DOS; the whole massive
| file must be printed. But if you are
| determined enough to do that, you will find a
| powerful, fast file manager which also
| supports NetBios networks. (David Groome)
| (ASP) (Reg.Fee: $40)
FILER2.ZIP 23628 05-29-89 Filer2 is a non-menu-driven file manager.
| Many experienced users don't like to use DOS
| menu programs because, no matter how fast and
| versatile they are, they seem slow and
| confining. The difference between FILER2's
| commands and DOS's commands are that FILER2's
| are safer, because you are warned of possible
| problems such as overwriting existing files,
| yet more powerful. For example, FILER2's
| RMDIR will remove a directory if it is empty
| or not, after displaying the contents of the
| directory and asking your approval.
| (Christopher J. Dunford) (Reg.Fee: $?)
FILES.ZIP 28151 03-07-94 Files is a simple file manager which can

| Klosek) (Reg.Fee: $39-69)
FM_BAT.ZIP 28170 06-22-89 FM-BAT 2.41 allows you to select files from a
| directory listing and generate a batch file
| that will operate on each of the files
| selected. For example, you could select files
| to be deleted, copied, printed by a file
| printing utility, or processed by any other
| program you choose. (Richard Speiss)
| (Reg.Fee: $10)
FMAN430.ZIP 79935 01-01-94 File_Man 4.3 will display a directory and

| high-intensity colors. (Tomohumi Kodama)
| (Reg.Fee: $35)
HK203.ZIP 29129 11-08-94 Hunter Killer 2.03 finds any file(s) on your

| them. (Stephen R. Davis) (Reg.Fee: $0)
KOPY_CV.ZIP 10319 06-22-91 Kopy 1.8 compares files in two

| (Reg.Fee: $0)
MOVHERE.ZIP 30202 03-09-92 Move It Over Here! 3.0 searches your hard
| disk for a specified file and then moves it
| to the current directory. This can save you
| having to type in long PATH names, but it is
| many times slower than using a regular Move
| utility, and if more than one file on your
| hard disk has the same name, it may move the
| wrong one, though it shows which PATH it came
| from so that you could move it back. (David

| BCMOVE does not have, such as being able to
| use "." in place of "*.*" (well, every

| author says that's because MV does some
| additional safety checks. (Bob Eyer)

XDEL.ZIP 396 08-10-94 XDel 1.05 does a really secure job of
| deleting files. First it writes over the
| file's data, then it changes the file's name
| to a non-displayable ASCII character, then it
| truncates the file to a length of zero, then

| Norton's going to bring that one back. And it

| Software) (Reg.Fee: $0)

| copying over an existing file of the same
| name. It also displays file directory

| you run programs without exiting Zip. (Edward
