└ It has been reported by the many art and craftsmen of the land that there is a wide variety of tools that one may useon his travels. Two tools, the sextant and the pocketwatch, can be used right within one's inventory. In most cases, however, one needs to first arm the toolin hand - same one as a weapon, then make USE of it on the land. For example,a bucket in hand will allow one to USE the water before him to fill it. Pick inhand will allow one to USE a loose rock face to uncover potential caves. USE theground before thee whilst holding a flare and thou canst ignite light, or block foes from attack. USE a locked door with a lockpick in hand and it may open, unless it breaks. Yes, from fishing poles to dumping full buckets onfire to douse it, the wise tool user always remembers: When in doubt, arm it and USE something it will act on! -Reprinted from "Adventurer's Field Guide"
