HOW THREE-O IS PLAYED
=====================
THREE-O is a game for two players, identified as "White" and
"Black". Each side controls 18 tokens (or "chips"). 15 of these
chips are numeric and are numbered 1 to 15. The others are an "O",
an "X", and a "OO" (referred to as "Double-Zero").
The object of the game is to accumulate score by strategically
placing the chips on the screen grid. Three of a player's NUMERIC
chips in line in any direction constitute a basic "THREE-O". the
player's score is augmented by the sum of the chips.
When two of a player's numeric chips are in line with that
player's "X", the sum of the chips is multiplied by TWO. With the
opponent's "X", the multiplier is THREE.
The "O" is the exact opposite of the "X": With your own "O" you
lose THREE times the sum of the chips, but only TWO times with the
opponent's "O".
Any two of your chips in line with the opponent's "OO" DOUBLES
the opponent's TOTAL SCORE. Two of your chips in line with YOUR OWN
"OO" TRIPLES opponent's TOTAL SCORE.
All of this is demonstrated graphically in the simulated game
segments of DEMO.EXE.
