JUNE 1991
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
This program requires an IBM compatible computer (640K) and EGA with
256 k of ram on the card as a minimum. A 286 or 386 computer is best,
an 8088 is O.K., better if it runs 8 mhz. Slower CPUs will work, but
since this program is graphics intensive, screen updates may be slower
than desired. A hard disk is required and a disk caching program will
greatly speed file loads.
GENERAL
This is an interactive, animated CRAPS game. All standard bets are supported
except DON'T COME and DON'T PASS bets. Each crap table (there are three
included) has an array of different players that take turns rolling the
dice. You input your bet choice through pull down menus. The MICROSOFT
mouse or compatible is supported for input if desired. Each major bet choice
has a help screen associated that may be instantly accessed. These help
screens will take you through the entire game and will soon have you making
bets like an expert even if you have never played craps before.
SET UP
Copy all *.zip files to your hard disk. I recommend copying the files
to a separate directory of your choice. If your source disk is in A:
drive, I recommend the following.
1. make a directory on C: Drive (md GAMBLERS)
2. switch to A: Drive (A:)
3. type "copy *.* c:\gamblers (COPY *.* C:\GAMBLERS)
If you want to use a different Drive than C:, just substitute
the Drive letter you want to use for C:
HOW TO USE THE PROGRAM
Before you can use the program you must "unzip" all craps files. This will
require the "PKUNZIP" program. Once you have copied all the *.zip files
to the dirctory you have chosen for this game, Type the following.......
1. pkunzip craplibs.zip
2. pkunzip g&gcraps.zip
Once all the files are "UNZIPPED" the game can be accessed from the initial
screen of GAMBLERS AND MONEY GRUBBERS, just choose the CRAPS option. If
G&GCPRAS.EXE is being used as a stand alone program, it is started by
typing "G&GCRAPS.EXE" from DOS. Once the game is up and running, you will
be asked to choose a table to play on. Next you will sign in with your
name. If your name is on file from a previous game, you will be asked if
you want to start a new game. If so press "Y" or if you want to continue
with the previous game press "N". A "Y" answer will prompt the game to ask
you how much money you want to start with. An "N" answer will start the
game with the same amount of money you had when you finished playing last
time.
NOTE: Any microsoft compatible mouse will work with this program.
GAME DETAILS
Choose this menu item for a detail of game controls and general information
about the game. To access the HELP screens for each bet choice simply place
the hand pointer next to the area of interest and push the "H" key. When you
are through with the HELP screen, just push any key or a mouse button to
return to the main screen.
QUITTING THE GAME
To quit the game and have your score saved, simply select the "QUIT GAME"
option from the main menu.

KNUCKLES.EXE
Ver 1.0
Although this game has no socially redeeming value, it may provide some
manner of diversion for those predisposed to masochism. The game consists
of a sadistic wager maker and a trusting player who apparently doesn't mind
doing your bidding. If you think you are lucky enough, place a wager (your
money against the trusting players fingers) that the cigarette lighter will
light.
SET UP
Copy all *.zip files to the same directory you have FRIDAY NIGHT POKER in.
Before you can use the program you must "unzip" the knuckles.zip files.
This will require the "PKUNZIP" program. Type the following...........
1. pkunzip knuckles.zip
Once all the files are "UNZIPPED" the game can be accessed from the initial
screen of GAMBLERS AND MONYE GRUBBERS, just choose the KNUCKLES option.
Once the game is up and running, you will sign in with your name. You are
then presented with the following options.
1. TIMED LIGHTS: This option allows you to try to get the lighter
to light a specified number of times before the timer runs out. The
more money you bet the harder it becomes to be successful. It doesn't
matter how many times the lighter fails to light as long as it does
light the required number of times before the timer runs out.
2. SEQUENTIAL LIGHTS: This option allows you to try to light the
lighter the number of times specified without a missing a light.
You should adjust your lighter to the best gas height and strike
time to minimize chances of a miss light. No time limit applies,
but all lights must be successful sequentially in order to collect
the money and avoid the ax from falling on you trusting players
finger.
GAME HELP
A help screen is accessible during game play at any time by pressing the "H"
key.
HALL OF FAME
Your score will be saved and your standing (MOST MONEY EARNED PER FINGER LOST)
will be posted to the HALL OF FAME. The top 4 scores will be displayed when
the "F" key is pushed.
SELECT LIGHTERS
You may select a new lighter to help in your quest to gain riches. Push the
"S" key to bring up the lighter choices.
QUITTING THE GAME
To quit the game, push the "Q" key.
Well, that's all there is to it, its not hard to FINGER OUT.
GRUBBING FOR COMPENSATION
Users who register for BOTH GAMBLERS AND MONEY GRUBBERS - FRIDAY NIGHT POKER
and GAMBLERS AND MONEY GRUBBERS CRAPS - will receive KNUCKLES free of change.
SUCH A DEAL!
