****** BADLIBS VER 1.1 ******
INSTRUCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Badlibs is similar to a similarly-named word game which was made
to be played on paper.
It is an interactive text story-maker suitable for all ages, from
young school-age through adult, and depending on the user's input,
will be "rated" from "G" to "X". It can also be good at parties.
If there are any particular hardware requirements, I'm not aware
of them. It should run on just about any system which has at least
256k, and any of the normal color monitors, CGA, EGA or VGA. There
is no problem running it from the floppy-disk. The colors in the
menu system may require that ANSI.SYS is available through the
path statement, however this WILL work fine on a TANDY 1000RL
with a single floppy drive.
The DISKMENU system included is self-explanatory, and will do
everything from run the games to install it on a hard-drive.
GAME PLAY
The games will prompt you for input of various types of words.
Usually these are Verb, Noun, Adjective and Adverb, but they may
also be "A person's name" or "A number" or "A substance", etc.
If it is not obvious what the input should be at first, a couple
of games will make it clear. The only hard rule is that when prompted
for a number, it MUST be a NUMERIC value such as "10", do not
spell the number out such as "TEN".
If you are not familiar with the definitions of adjective, noun,
verb and adverb, choose game menu selection 1 for a short tutorial.
To leave a game at any time press and hold your CTRL (Control)
key down while you also press the "BREAK" key. This should
rarely be necessary since the games were intentionally made short
to avoid a lot of scrolling on the screen.
If you desire to print any of these stories, you should be able
to do so by hitting the "Print Screen" key while the story is
displayed on your screen.
REGISTRATION
You are not REQUIRED to register this game, however be aware that
individuals who write programs such as this will not continue to
do so without registrations. You will also get a second similar
disk sent to you with your registration fee which is only $5.00.
To register, please print the Invoice form using the menu entry
to do that. Then enclose $5.00 (U.S.) plus $2.50 shipping/handling
and when we receive it we will promptly send your new version.
Check the place on the invoice if you would like information on
other software we carry.
