  1. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  3. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  4. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  5. using it, you are expected to register.

  7. Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
  8. and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  9. exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  10. programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
  11. of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
  12. and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  13. distribution.

  15. Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
  16. should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  17. whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  18. fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.
  19. And because the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware
  20. has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  21. product, you don't pay for it.

  33. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  34. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  35. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  36. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  37. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  38. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  39. useful and find that you are using ZipWhacker for Windows and
  40. continue to use ZipWhacker for Windows after a reasonable trial period,
  41. you must make a registration payment of $10.00 to QSystems.

  44. copies of ZipWhacker for Windows within 30 days of first use or their license
  45. is withdrawn.  Site-License arrangements may be made by contacting QSystems.

  47. friends for evaluation.  Please encourage them to register their
  48. copy if they also find it useful.  All registered users will receive the
  49. registration code that will disable the sign-on screen, and thanks from
  50. the author.
