  3. This is the README.TXT file for Microangelo, a product
  4. designed specifically for working with miniature graphics
  5. and Windows 95.
  6.  
  7. INSTALLING MICROANGELO
  8. -----------------------
  9. The Microangelo package includes a graphical Windows
  10. installation program.  Copy or unzip the set of files
  11. that accompany this README.TXT file to a floppy diskette
  12. ot into a temporary folder.  Then run the SETUP program
  13. from the diskette or temporary folder.
  14.  
  15. DISPLAYING HIGH-COLOR ICONS
  16. ---------------------------
  17. Microangelo includes a small utility that can be used to
  18. configure Windows 95 to display icons using all possible
  19. colors.  SETUP installs the utility along with Microangelo,
  20. and creates a start icon titled, "Icon Color Level" that
  21. can be used to run the utility.

  23. DOCUMENTATION
  24. -------------
  25. Setup installs a Quickstart User Manual and displays this
  26. manual at the conclusion of Setup.  The Quickstart guide
  27. contains important information and tips to help get the
  28. most out of Microangelo.
  29.  
  30. We recommend printing out the Quickstart guide and reviewing
  31. before you use Microangelo or very soon.  It really does
  32. contain some useful information that might be otherwise
  33. overlooked.
  34.  
  35. Also, a thorough and concise set of online Help files
  36. provide excellent information on program specifics and step-
  37. by-step instructions to help you when you need it most -
  38. while you work.  You can access online help through the
  39. Contents window where the information is organized into
  40. books and chapters, or go directly to the Index window to
  41. look for specific references and keywords to help you locate
  42. the information that you are looking for.
  43.  
  44. REGISTRATION
  45. ------------
  46. Microangelo is not free software.  It is released as
  47. shareware, which provides the opportunity for the program
  48. to be evaluated before it is purchased.
  49.  
  50. We hope that when you try Microangelo you will like it so
  51. much that you will want to register.  By doing so you are
  52. voting with your pocketbook for us to continue developing
  53. high-quality, Windows shareware.
  54.  
  55. Complete information on how to register Microangelo is
  56. included in the REGISTER.DOC file.  Microangelo Setup
  57. installs a start menu entry titled Microangelo Print
  58. Registration Form that allows you to print the form from
  59. your Start menu.  If you wish to remove the entry and are
  60. not familiar with how to do so, instructions are provided
  61. to remove the entry in the form itself.

  100.  SOFTWARE LICENSE
  101.  
  102.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
  103.  Microangelo on a 30-day trial basis for the purpose of
  104.  determining whether Microangelo is suitable for their
  105.  needs.  The use of Microangelo, except for the initial
  106.  30-day trial, requires registration.  The use of
  107.  unlicensed copies of Microangelo, outside of the initial
  108.  30-day trial, by any person, business, corporation,
  109.  government agency or any other entity is strictly
  110.  prohibited.
  111.  
  112.  A license for personal use may be purchased that grants
  113.  thea user the right to use Microangelo on one or more
  114.  computers.  A commercial license requires sufficient
  115.  licensing equal to the number of users, or the quantity
  116.  of workstations that access the software, whichever is
  117.  smaller.

  119.  No one may modify or patch the Microangelo executable files
  120.  in any way, including but not limited to decompiling,
  121.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the
  122.  programs.

  124.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
  125.  Microangelo only for the trial use of others, subject
  126.  to the above limitations, and also the following:
  127.  
  128.   1)    Microangelo and all of its release files must be
  129.         copied in unmodified form, complete with the file
  130.         containing this license information.
  131.  
  132.   2)    No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
  133.         or accepted, except as authorized below:
  134.  
  135.         A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  136.            (sysops) may make Microangelo available for down-
  137.            loading only as long as the above conditions are
  138.            met.  An overall or time-dependent charge for the
  139.            use of the bulletin board system is permitted as
  140.            long as there is not a specific charge for the
  141.            download of Microangelo.

  143.         B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software
  144.            approved by the ASP may distribute Microangelo,
  145.            subject to the above conditions, without specific
  146.            permission.  Non-approved vendors may distribute
  147.            Microangelo only after obtaining written
  148.            permission from Impact Software.  Such permission
  149.            is usually granted.  Please write for details
  150.            (enclose your catalog).

  152.         C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of
  153.            the Microangelo diskette to their members,
  154.            subject to the above conditions, without specific
  155.            permission.  Non-profit groups may collect a disk
  156.            duplication fee not to exceed five dollars.

  158.   LIMITED WARRANTY
  159.  
  160.   Impact Software warrants that all disks provided are
  161.   free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  162.   normal use, for a period of 90 days from the date of
  163.   purchase.

  165.   Impact Software warrants that the program will perform
  166.   in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  167.   with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  168.   the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
  169.   product for a refund.  In no event will such a refund
  170.   exceed the purchase price of the product.

  172.   EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, IMPACT SOFTWARE DISCLAIMS ALL
  173.   WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  174.   LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
  175.   FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
  176.   PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE
  177.   PURCHASER ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF
  178.   ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY
  179.   INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL
  180.   IMPACT SOFTWARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER

  187.   Use of this product for any period of time constitutes
  188.   your acceptance of this agreement and subjects you to its
