TeleChess v1.0 for Winsock

HISTORY
1988 - TeleChess modem version v1.0 under DOS and CGA
1989 - TeleChess modem version v2.0 under DOS and Hercules
1995 - TeleChess TCP/IP version under Windows 3.x and Winsock 1.1
WHAT IS TeleChess
TeleChess is a Chinese Chess game, to be played by two people
over a TCP/IP network, possibly the Internet, or any LAN capable
of running TCP/IP. TeleChess is NOT a chess game played by
a computer.
HOW TO PLAY A CHINESE GAME
Excuse me for not be able to provide a set of rules for playing
Chinese game. If you would like to join us to enjoy the art of
Chinese Chess, please look for a Chinese Chess set in any
department store and usually instructions will be included.
HOW TO SETUP TeleChess and START GAME
1. Setup Winsock 1.1 correctly. I will leave all the setup
details of Winsock to individual implementations.
2. Create a file name tchess.ini under Windows system directory
with the following section and attributes:
[tchess]
myname=<your name> ; put your name within 10 characters
connect-to=<IP address of the opposite player>
; this attribute is for game initiator only
port=<port number>
; both player must agree on a port number, default is 8000
3. The game initiator choose the Play->Initiate option, and
the opposite player choose the Play->Wait option.
Game then starts and you will see 'TeleChess with ...' at
the window title.
4. Use Play->Reset to restart a game;
Use Play->Switch to give up your turn; and
Use Play->Quit to quit a game.
