3. Performance Issues
------------------------------------------------
The user may find that the creation of several objects and the application
of several object sounds to these objects may hinder performance.
Using more objects and object sounds will use more system resources.
Adding more system memory will improve performance by preventing enhanced
memory disk swapping.
4. "Video Not Available" Error Message
-------------------------------------------------
If you're receiving the message "Video not available" when running the program,
uninstall and then re-install the program.
5. "Sound Not Available" Error Message
-------------------------------------------------
"Beyond The Third Dimension" (TM) uses Windows sound. If this or a similar
message appears, check to see if sound is working in Windows.
If it is, re-install RSX. To do that you must uninstall and reinstall
Beyond The Third Dimension.
6. "0 Space On Hard Drive" Error Message
-------------------------------------------------
If no more space is available on the hard drive, an error message will appear.
The message will say. Setup needs at least 691KB for Temp files to install.
The minimum install requires at least 40 MB of hard drive space.
The full install requires at least 330 MB of hard drive space.
7. Video and Sound Problems
-------------------------------------------------
If you experience video or sound problems, please contact your computer or
sound and video card manufacturers for updated sound and video drivers.
Many Windows 95 systems are more reliable running a variety of software
when they have updated drivers for the sound and video cards.
8. RIVA 128(TM) Alt-Tab Problem
-------------------------------------------------
If you are using the RIVA 128(TM) chipset you might experience object
colorization when you alt-tab away from "Beyond The Third Dimension" (TM) and
return. You will notice a persistent red light as well as seeing some objects
with a red color or a candy striped appearance. This is a known driver bug.
Contact your computer or video manufacturer for the latest video driver.
9. Alt-Tab during Multiplay
-------------------------------------------------
If the host alt-tabs during a multiplayer game all moving objects on all other
player's computers will stop moving until the host returns to the game.
10. Unable to Stop Scaling or Rotating
-------------------------------------------------
If you completely surround a moving object with non-moving objects so that it
cannot move and then try to scale or rotate the object sometimes you will be
unable to release the object. A work around is to use your robot to destroy
the surrounding objects so you can then place the scaled or rotated object.
