  40. for MS-Windows.

  90. 2.0 Installation, Uninstall

  93. 2.1) Installation
  94.  
  95. Create a "goldwave" directory and unzip or copy all files
  96. into that directory.  Create a short cut to "goldwave.exe".
  97.  
  98. Search your system for the file BWCC32.DLL.  If you find any
  99. copies, check the date.  If the BWCC32.DLL file included with
  100. GoldWave is newer, replace all old copies with the one
  101. included with GoldWave.  Copy BWCC32.DLL to the WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  102. (or WIN95\SYSTEM or WINNT\SYSTEM) directory if it is not
  103. there already.  You should restart Windows to remove any old
  104. copies from memory.

  107. 2.2) Uninstall
  108.  
  109. Delete the following files from your WINDOWS directory:
  110.     express.eqx
  111.     gwpreset.ini
  112.     goldwave.ini
  113. Other files are listed in section 4.0.
  114.  
  115. Generally, BWCC32.DLL should not be deleted from the 
  116. WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory as it may be required by other
  117. applications.

  121. 3.0 Important Additional Notes
  122. --------------------------------------------------------------
  123.  
  124. 3.1) Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 with the new Explorer style
  125. common dialogs is required to run this version.  A Pentium
  126. processor is recommended.

  128. 3.2) GoldWave includes a recent version of BWCC32.DLL
  129. from Borland.  GoldWave checks for this version of BWCC32.DLL
  130. (or a newer one).  If you get an error message, you should
  131. delete any older copies of BWCC32.DLL or replace them with the
  132. one included with GoldWave.  You may have to restart Windows
  133. to remove the older BWCC32.DLL from memory.  Only one copy of
  134. BWCC32.DLL is needed and should be kept in the Windows system
  135. directory.

  137. 3.3) In order to get the scope working correctly, you might
  138. have to change the positioning method in the Device Controls
  139. Setup dialog box.
  140.  
  141. 3.4) If GoldWave crashes during playback or recording,
  142. contact your sound card manufacturer to obtain an updated
  143. driver.  Some drivers are available from the World Wide Web.
