  8. Shotgun 1.0 is provided as Shareware and may be freely distributed
  9. in it's entirety, provided that all files are distributed with
  10. the software and you don't alter the software or claim that you
  11. wrote it or some other nonsense.  The only limit on this license
  12. is that you may not bundle this software with any other software
  13. and/or distribute it for money or any other compensation unless you
  14. get my written permission.

  16. Shotgun may not be dis-assembled, reverse engineered or altered
  17. in any way.  If you bastardize and/or steal my code,
  18. I'm going to sue you, unless I'm getting a cut.

  20. You may evaluate the software for 30 days.

  22. must register it with me at the address shown
  23. in the license.txt file.  It costs a miniscule $10
  24. and will get you a version without a nag screen
  25. and on-going support and upgrade information.

  46. Introduction:

  48. Welcome to Shotgun 1.0.  This application represents
  49. a new type of 32 bit software that we at Maidens Software call
  50. Thinware. This is software designed to perform a specific function
  51. really well, without the overhead of a larger application.
  52.  
  53. Shotgun 1.0 is a screen scraper.  You merely start it up, and
  54. everytime you press Ctrl-Shift-W, Shotgun takes a picture of your
  55. active Window.  You can then Print, Save, E-Mail, Cut and Copy the
  56. screen shot as you need.
  57.  
  58. We built Shotgun because we don't think you should have to pay a lot
  59. for a utility this simple, and yet there are many times when you wish
  60. you could just copy a screen and send it to someone or print it out
  61. for future reference.  Shotgun performs this function, performs it
  62. well, and doesn't eat up a bunch of RAM or disk space doing it.

  64. There's no Help in Shotgun, it doesn't need any.  It's so simple
  65. to use, if you need any Help with it, just ask someone who has been
  66. using a PC for a while.  Shotgun does have some great
  67. hidden features though.  For instance, it can Load Windows Bitmaps
  68. for printing or e-mail, it can Paste from the Windows clipboard,
  69. it can also Save a Windows Meta-File.

  72. Setting It Up:
  73.  
  74. To set up Shotgun 1.0, Run the program SETUP.EXE that is provided
  75. with the disk.  You can do this by following these steps:
  76.  
  77.     1.  Press the "Start" button on your Windows desktop.
  78.     2.  Choose "RUN" from the menu.
  79.  
  80.     3A. Type in the full path to SETUP.EXE
  81.         (example: C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE).

  83.             --OR--
  84.  
  85.     3B. Press "Browse" and locate the SETUP.EXE file.  Press "OK".
  86.  
  87.     4.  Press "OK".

  89. Shotgun will run an installer to guide you through the installation
  90. process.

  93. Tips for Use:
  94.  
  95. 1.  Set your Printer's Graphics resolution to the highest setting.
  96.     If you have a choice for dithering, set it to it's finest
  97.     setting.
  98.  
  99. 2.  Your e-mail client must be running for the "Send" feature
  100.     in Shotgun to work.  Also, you must first save your bitmap
  101.     as a file before trying to e-mail it.
