  2. Windows RZSplit95
  3. =================

  5.     WRZSPLIT95 is a 32 bit Windows program to split and build any size files.
  6.     This program will only run under Windows 95 and NT.
  7.

  10. To Split a file: (normal)
  11. ================
  12.  
  13.     Just select a file on the left side of the form, and then pick the
  14.     size you want the file to be split up into.  Or pick "other" and type
  15.     in another size in bytes (for example, say you want the split files
  16.     to be 1 Meg, type in 1000000). All files created will have a ".001" 
  17.     thru ".999" file extension on them, and will be created in the same 
  18.     directory as the file selected. Select a destination directory you 
  19.     want to split files to go and hit the GO button to Split the file.

  22. To RAW Split a file:

  25.     This is just like the "split" option, but it does 2 things different.
  26.         - It does NOT write the header data in the 1st split file.
  27.         - It creates a .BAT file to re-join the file back together.

  29.     NOTE: You cannot use RZSplit to Join file that were RAW Split.

  32. To Join a file:

  35.     Pick any file (with an extension of ".001" and pick    the Action "Join".  
  36.     Then hit the GO button. The new file will be created in the directory 
  37.     specified on the destination directory on the right of the form.

  43.     The programmer cannot accept responsibility for any damages that may be
  44.     incurred by the use of this program.

  46.     Please read the following lines carefully, before using this software. Should 
  47.     you disagree with the following, then you are not allowed to use this program. 
  48.     You MUST then delete it and never use it.

  50.     You have the right to test this program for the period of one month. You are 
  51.     allowed to copy this Shareware-version (and ONLY the Shareware version) and give
  52.     it to any other person, as long as it is not modified in any way. Under modifi-
  53.     cations we understand the changing, adding or removing of any files of this 
  54.     package without the author's written permission. You are NOT allowed to pack
  55.     this program together with a commercial program or a book. Shareware dealers are
  56.     allowed to sell the Shareware version for a small fee (US $10). You are
  57.     encouraged to put this program on as many BBS systems as possible.

  60.     international Copyright law! Also it is unfair against the author, who spent
  61.     hundreds of hours writing this program.

  64. Registration

  67.     WRZSPLIT95 is neither freeware nor public domain. It is shareware. A use after 
  68.     the 30 day trial period requires registration. The registration fee only costs 
  69.     $10.00 US dollars.  Once you register, you will get BOTH 16 and 32 bit versions
  70.     registered, including ALL upgrades.

  73.     information you need.  The random nag dialog will pop up about every 5 times 
  74.     you hit the "GO" button.

  77. Notes

  80.     WRZSPLIT95 is compatable with the DOS, and the 16-bit version as long as
  81.     you use the 8x3 filename convention.  If you split a file with more than
  82.     8 chars. you will have to join it with the 95 version also.  I noticed
  83.     that the 32-bit version is a little bit slower than the 16-bit, but it
  84.     multi-tasks much better.

  90.     1.0 - Initial Release
  91.     1.1 - Displayed "disk x or y" when splitting.  Also will ask user before
  92.           overwriting original file. E-mail changed.
  93.     1.2 - Fixed form problem, and cleaned up code.
  94.     1.3 - Added code to check if there was enough disk space on destination
  95.           drive before I started writing there.  Added "RAW Split" option.
  96.           Added Install program. (something I should have done a long time ago)
