  9. You've just got that Cd from the cover of a magazine, and you're trying
  10. all the demos out ... in the background files are getting added to your
  11. windows or windows/system directory ... they're growing ... the files
  12. aren't removed ... you run out of disk space ... you have to sell your
  13. house for a new hard drive ... homeless - all for the sake of $5/ú3 :-)

  15. Ok. Imagine this ...

  17. You run RemoveR. It makes a record of your entire Windows directory and
  18. all its subdirectorys (cunningly ignoring the temp directory & all 
  19. hidden folders - such as 'Recent' in Win95).

  21. You run all your demo software ... files are added.
  22.  
  23. You run RemoveR again. It tells you all the files that have been added
  24. or deleted since you last updated its records, and it allows you to
  25. delete any of the new files you don't want. Cool.

  29. Fair enough, programs should uninstall these days ... but there are
  30. soooooo many that don't - so think of RemoveR as your insurance !

  32. Its easy to use, try it and see.

  34. To scan click 'Update Scan Database'
  35. To check for differences from last saved sacn, click 'Find Changes'
  36.  
  37. After displaying changes and deleting files, you may like to update
  38. the database (click 'Update Scan Database') to add any changes you wish
  39. to make permanent, and not be alerted to any more.

  41. Windows95/NT users, run RmvR32.exe

  43. (If you have both the 16 Bit and 32 Bit versions of RemoveR then stick
  44. to one version, they each store their database in a different
  45. format - using one to make it and one to read it is asking for trouble)

  69. Its written in VB4/Win95. I know its not superfast, but you try writing
  70. a recursive directory search routine any faster ... if you can
  71. send it to me :-)

  80.     of features I was hoping to include missing. This will be rectifed

  82.     corrupted the rmvr32.zip file. Sorry it took me so long to fix but
  83.     British Telecom has taken 2 weeks to fix my telephone - on the
  84.     upside they did pay me over 120UKP compensation :-)
