Windows96 Backdrop
------------------
Put Win96.bmp into your Windows directory & use as a screen backdrop. Users of 1024x768 screen
mode will probably want to resize it. The best was is to use Paint Shop Pro 3.12. Convert it
to 16million colours & then RESAMPLE it to 1024x768 & save. You'll want to reduce the number of
colours to 256 but Paint Shop Pro is very bad at doing this. Use almost any other program to
reduce the number of colours. I use LView Pro or SEA (http://toad.stack.urc.tue.nl/~ralphg/).
LView Pro automatically saves bmps in 256 colours with no loss of quality.
This wallpaper was made to accompany my Windows96 start & shutdown screens. I was inspired by
to make it by Matthew's (http://www.hiltonhead9.com/flash) attempt at a Windows96 wallpaper,
because his is not very convincing. Feel free to distribute.
