Intro
=====
Thanks for trying out one of my logo screens. I began creating them
when I got tired of spending hours upon hours on the internet looking
for a screen that was ME... Camelot.sys was my first... and it was ME!
I had so much fun doing that one, I sorta went wild creating a bunch
more. Since you can only use one screen at a time... and since I tend
to stay with a partiuclar theme... I knew I'd never use some of these
but thought that others might be interested. Keep checking back to
my site, periodically, because I'll be adding more as the days march
on. Enjoy!

ShutUp!
=======
I have created a small .hlp file that will allow a user to change a
specific logo(s/w) screen (those made available on my site:
http://www.gyrant.com/gyro/cover.htm). Each logo screen has its own
.hlp to auto install a screen. If you would like, I have also created
a .hlp file that will allow you to quickly pick which logo.hlp file you
want to use.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to use ShutUp!
==================
(1)
Create a directory that will house the .hlp, .bat, and .sys files.
(2)
Place all ShutUp! files in that directory (including .sys files).
(3)
Make a shortcut to each .hlp install file, or double click on the help
file you want to use.
-----OR---------
Download the shutup.zip file from my site, unzip it in your ShutUp!
directory, and make one shortcut to shutup.hlp (this file allows
you to access all the others).
(4)
The program is REAL simple to use... there are only 2 options:
One for backing up your originals.
The other for installing a designated screen.

Manual Installation of Logos
============================
Changing one's startup, shutdown or reboot ("It is now safe to shut off your
computer") screen is actually quite easy to do:
Windows 95 uses: As Location
---------------- -- --------
logo.sys -- Startup -- Found in your c: root directory
logos.sys -- Shutdown -- Found in your Windows directory
logow.sys -- Reboot -- Found in your Windows directory
Copy your new and prepared (any 320x400, 256 colors bitmap graphic)
screen over as one of the files mentioned above, to the appropriate
directory (see locations above).
It is such a simple process, you could create a small batch file to do
it.

Other Methods of Installation
=============================
If you would prefer a fancier way of changing your screens, you could
use one of the various logo changers. You can find most of them at
http://www.windows95.com
I've tried many of these changers and just about all of them are shareware
and crippled. That's why I've created my own little quick and dirty install
programs. When I find a freeware logo changer that is capable of changing
out all three screens, doing backups of the originals, and allows viewing
of *.sys / *.bmp files, (viewing of actual animation would be nice too)
I will probably remove my limited installer and
create a link on my page to the more advanced logo changer.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note:
=====
As far as I can determine, animated screens only work for startups
(I tried them as shutdown, reboot screens and my animations didn't animate).
