  2. Beavis and Butthead Startup and Shutdown Screens, SERIES 2

  6. Thanks for checking out my pictures.  The installation is simple, just
  7. follow the instructions below.

  9. 1. In the Windows Explorer, go to the root directory of your boot drive
  10.    (usually c:) and make a copy of 'logo.sys'  Then rename the copy 
  11.    'oldlogo.sys'
  12.  
  13. 2. Copy the new 'logo.sys' from this zip file to the root directory 
  14.    (so that it replaces the one you just made a copy of...you may have
  15.    to give a 'yes' to overwrite the original file).

  17. 3. In the Explorer, go to the Windows directory and find 'Logow.sys' and
  18.    'Logos.sys' Make copies of these and rename the copies with the 'old' 
  19.    prefix like you did with 'logo.sys'
  20.  
  21. 4. Copy the new 'Logow.sys' and 'Logos.sys' from this zip file into the
  22.    Windows directory.  Once again, you may have to give a 'yes' each time
  23.    it wants to overwrite an original file.

  25. That should do it!  Just shut down the computer and reboot it and you will 
  26. see the new startups.  If you get sick of them, you can replace the new ones
  27. with the 'oldlogo*.sys' files.  If it doesn't work, you can tap F8 as Windows
  28. boots and choose the 'dos prompt only' boot so you can change back to your
  29. original files the old fashioned way...with dos commands.

  31. There shouldn't be any problems, but if there are, I AM NOT TO BLAME!  Send
  32. me mail and I may be able to help ya, though.  If you don't understand the
  33. instructions above, DON'T TRY TO INSTALL IT!  Find somebody who understands
  34. the directions and let THEM install it...somebody you trust, of course.
