  19. Sound Event Editor was created to make adding sound events to
  20. Windows 95 easy.  By editing the Windows 95 registry, you can add
  21. basic sound events for any executable program file.

  23. System Requirements
  24. -------------------
  25. Windows 95 operating system and Soundcard that supports WAV files.
  26. Now thats not asking much!

  28. Install/Uninstall Sound Event Editor
  29. ------------------------------------
  30. Install Procedure - Go to Windows 95 Control Panel.
  31.                     Select Add/Remove Programs.
  32.                     Select "Install", and follow prompts.
  33.                     Windows 95 will not likely locate the setup.exe file on
  34.                     its own, enter the directory path you unzipped the
  35.                     Sound Editor Install files to and the file name
  36.                     Setup.Exe, the click on Finish.

  38. Uninstall Procedure - Sound Event Editor can be uninstalled,
  39.                       like most Windows 95 programs,
  40.                       via the Control Panel,
  41.                       "Add/Remove Programs" Icon.

  43. Creating Program Sound Events
  44. -----------------------------
  45. Click on the "Select Application Program" button (or press Alt-S).
  46. Select a valid program file (ending with .EXE or .COM extension).
  47. Make sure the Add Sound Events option is selected (Alt-A).
  48. Click on the Install/Delete Sound Events button (or press Alt-I).
  49. S.E.E. then creates sound events for your program, which must be
  50. configured via the Windows '95 Control Panel, "Sounds" Icon, which
  51. you can get to quickly by Clicking on the "Open Control Panel"
  52. button (or press Alt-C).

  55. Deleting Program Sound Events
  56. -----------------------------
  57. Click on the "Select Application Program" button (or press Alt-S).
  58. Select a valid program file (ending with .EXE or .COM extension).
  59. Make sure the Add Sound Events option is selected (Alt-D).
  60. Click on the Install/Delete Sound Events button (or press Alt-I).
  61. S.E.E. automatically deletes the sound events for your program.

  63. What Sound Events will be created for my program?

  65. Open - This will allow you to play a sound file when opening
  66.        or starting your program.
  67. Close - This will allow you to play a sound file when you exit/close
  68.         your program.
  69. Maximize - This will allow you to play a sound file when you Maximize
  70.            your programs window.
  71. Minimize - This will allow you to play a sound file when you Minimize
  72.            your programs window.
  73. Restore Up - This will allow you to play a sound file when you Restore
  74.              your program to maximized view.
  75. Restore Down - This will allow you to play a sound file when you Restore
  76.                your program to windowed view.

  80. Select Application Filename - Click here, or press Alt-S, to select the
  81.                               program you wish to create sound events for.
  82.                               Selected filename must be a valid program file
  83.                               with the ".EXE" or ".COM" extension.

  85. Install/Delete Sound Events - Click here or press Alt-I only after you have
  86.                               selected a program filename, and have the
  87.                               appropriate Add/Delete Sound Event option
  88.                               selected.

  90. Open Control Panel - Click here or press Alt-C for a shortcut to the
  91.                      Control Panel. Use the "Sounds" icon here, to configure
  92.                      your new sound events.

  94. Add Sound Events - Click here or press Alt-A if you want to add a programs
  95.                    sound events to Windows 95.

  97. Delete Sound Events - Click here or press Alt-D to delete/remove a programs
  98.                       sound events from Windows 95.

  101.                                its path will be displayed here.
