SWEEP for Windows 95 version 2.89
Released 1st September 1996
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are no further notes.

SWEEP for Windows 95 version 2.88a
Released 1st August 1996
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Macro viruses
-------------
SWEEP can now disinfect documents infected with most macro viruses. Select
"Disinfect documents" from the "Action" configuration screen.
Disinfection confirmation
-------------------------
By default SWEEP will request confirmation before disinfecting, or removing
infected files. Select "Request confirmation" from the "Action" configuration
screen.
Note that confirmation is not requested when SWEEP is running in scheduled
mode.
Auto-upgrade
------------
SWEEP's auto-upgrade facility has been enhanced, so that it checks whether an
upgrade is needed whenever SWEEP is running, rather than only at startup.
This is particularly useful for machines that startup as standalones and then
connect to a network only when it is needed. The user will be asked if they
want to upgrade once the central copy is detected and any running SWEEP jobs
complete.
During the auto-upgrade process SWEEP will delete all existing IDE and VDL
files in the destination folder and copy in any IDE or VDL files from the
source. This ensures automatic distribution and removal of these files.

SWEEP for Windows 95 version 2.84
Released 1st April 1996
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Command-line arguments
----------------------
Two new command-line arguments have been added to SWEEP. These options are
designed to help to enforce checking of users PCs without user interruption.
"-AUTO" Causes SWEEP to do an immediate job, with all user input, stop and
unload options disabled. If no viruses or errors are detected SWEEP
will unload at the end of the job. If viruses or errors are detected
SWEEP will display its normal messages and re-activate all controls.
"-NI" Suppresses all options to stop SWEEP. The STOP button and all internal
unload mechanisms are disabled. When combined with the "-I" option, all
these options will be disabled until the end of the immediate job, when
they will be re-activated. SWEEP will not unload at the end of the
immediate job.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
