NOTE: In order to use this add-in relevant database drivers must be
loaded. i.e. to open Access databases the Jet engine must be installed. I have not included these drivers as the size of the distribution file would be closer to 6mgb.
Installation:
1. Un-Zip the compressed file
2. Run the Setup program from the folder you extracted to
3. Run dbAid.exe to register the add-in
4. The next time you run VB, dbAid will be available from
the add-in manager menu option
This Add-In is a utility which displays all the tables and fields in a selected database. Fields can be automatically placed on a form by right-clicking them.
It costs nothing to use, all I ask is that you EMail me and let me know what you think, how it could be improved or if you have any other requirements.
Future Enhancements:
(possibly) add tables' fields to a module as constants and the ability to generate a class module for three-tier client/server applications based on the fields in a selected table. These and other ideas depend on the response I get from this add-in so please email me.
