Thank you for using this EVENTMAN shareware package from TASCS.
We sincerely hope you find this program useful and elect to
continue using it.
EVENTMAN is a menu-driven event manager that helps you maintain
your personal dates and events on your computer and print
lists of those events in any of several formats including weekly,
monthly, or to cover any period of your choosing. Using its
companion program WHATSUP, you can list all upcoming events
quickly on your computer screen. If you use your computer daily,
add WHATSUP to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and you will never forget
that birthday or anniversary again!
OVERVIEW
EVENTMAN saves data in a format that includes a primary heading
that can be thought of as a file folder with a series of individual
events filed in it. The entries are stored as a single line
followed by a date consisting of month, day, and year. For an event
that cycles from year to year, the year may be left blank to signify
an annual happening.
This version of EVENTMAN permits 200 separate categories and up to
8 events per category for a total of 1600 individual events per file.
Using separate files, a virtually unlimited number of entries can be
maintained on your personal computer.
Starting Out
EVENTMAN is based on our own TASCSWIN application environment that
uses "drop-down" menus to select features or settings. The
environment settings are adjusted via the 'Environment' menu item.
When EVENTMAN starts, the 'Files' entry is initially highlighted
(represented in inverse video). To change the entry that is
highlighted, use the left or right arrow keys on your computer's
keyboard until 'Environment' is selected, then press 'Enter'. If
you use a mouse, move the mouse cursor on top of the 'Environment'
entry then press and release the left mouse button. These actions
are simply repeated to access any of the other features of EVENTMAN.
Environment Menu
Blank screen time Sets the time limit for inactivity before the
screen blanker activates
Mouse click speed The rate at which a continuously pressed mouse
button repeats a key press.
mOuse cursor Selects the shape of the mouse cursor
Toggle clock Activates/deactivates the time and date display
Sound ... Sets the sound for key click, open window, close
window, and error. Also sets the overall pitch
and dwell for the sound effects. Sound is de-
activated for an effect by setting it to OFF.
Colors ... Select colors for the various elements of the
screen. Both foreground and background can be set;
Only foreground affects 'highlight' and 'inactive'.
saVe settings Stores the environment settings for future sessions.

desired view and press Enter again.
2. Press 'Alt' and then 'V', then release both keys to directly
activate the View menu. Proceed as above to select a view.
