  19. IcoShow, an overview
  20. ────────────────────

  22.     . You can manage a large count of icons (up to 16,384 icons in more than
  23.       100 windows) including within icon files or libraries (Exe/Dll/Nil/Icl).
  24.  
  25.     . IcoShow arranges icons in windows, one window per directory including 
  26.       icons.
  27.  
  28.     . You can select and/or exclude icons for/from processing (copy, move,
  29.       write to a library) in one or all windows using wildcards (?/*/[]).

  31.     . You can select icons for other processing (rename, edit) one by one.
  32.  
  33.     . IcoShow prints selected icons from current window to any matrix,
  34.       laserjet, postscript or ink-jet printer. You may also print in color
  35.       if your printer can handle the output.

  37.     . You can drag icons direct to program manager (Windows 3.0/3.1 and
  38.       NDW 1.0/2.0 are supported).

  40.     . If you click on the right mouse button, IcoShow displays a Properties
  41.       Menu of the current icon.

  43.     . IcoShow will save settings and the current desktop for the next 
  44.       session to the file ICOSHOW.INI.

  47. Installing IcoShow
  48. ──────────────────

  50. The following files used for IcoShow must be in a directory you choose:

  52.               ICOSHOW.EXE               Main program
  53.               ICOSHOW.HLP               Help file
  54.               ICOSHOW.INI               Ini file (always in directory of the EXE)
  55.               ICOSHOWH.DLL              Dll used to install icons
  56.  
  57. Special feature:
  58.  
  59.           BWCC.DLL            If you have this library in a directory
  60.                     where Windows can find it IcoShow will
  61.                     use Borland's Resources. If not, IcoShow
  62.                     will display dialog boxes which do not
  63.                     use Borland's Resources.

  66. Example:   Your Windows directory is C:\WIN. Then type the following commands 
  67.        from DOS prompt :

  69.                      md c:\win\tools
  70.                      copy a:\icoshow*.* c:\win\tools

  73. You can use the batch file ICOINST.BAT to do that. Start this with
  74.  
  75.            a:\icoinst c:\win\tools

  77. On place of c:\win\tools you can use another directory.
