  21.          You must add or edit the following lines of your CONFIG.SYS file in
  22.          the root directory and reboot to run this program:
  23.                                       FILES=40
  24.                                       BUFFERS=20
  25.          This program is too large to run from a 360K diskette. You must
  26.          have a hard drive.  The program is distributed in a PKZIP file. Run
  27.          the INSTALL program to automatically create a subdirectory called
  28.          STORY on your hard drive if you do not know how to extract ZIP
  29.          files.  On distribution disks of this program the following files
  30.          will be found:
  31.              README          Readme documentation
  32.              INSTALL.BAT     The installation batch file
  33.              CSTORY11.ZIP    Cumberland Story ZIP file
  34.              PKUNZIP.EXE     PKZIP extract program
  35.  
  36.          To install type:
  37.            INSTALL <origination drive letter> <destination drive letter>
  38.                                 EXAMPLE:  INSTALL A C

  40.          To start program type:  CSTORY <enter>

  42.               The program comes with two sample books which can be used to
  43.          study the program.  A manual is included on this disk. To print the
  44.               manual, select "Print Manual" from the "F7-Utilities" menu.

  46.          WARNING! This program holds data in memory and automatically saves
  47.          data as you exit the program. DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER or
  48.          REBOOT WHILE THE PROGRAM IS RUNNING. Data in memory will not be
  49.          written to disk and unrecoverable data corruption will occur.
  50.          Please backup regularly to insure against inadvertant problems such
  51.          as a power failure.

  59.          write and print a structured book about your life or the lives of
  60.          your ancestors. It contains many ideas and suggestions with a
  61.          chapter and topic outliner containing memory-jogging prompts. It's

  65.            * A word processor with cut-and-paste features.
  66.            * A Spell Check dictionary is available to registered users.

  94.          If you are upgrading from CUMBERLAND STORY 1.0 make certain you
  95.          backup your data files before installing this program.  Restore
  96.          your book(s) as explained under Chapter E.6.c. Data File Backup and
  97.          Restore after installing Version 1.1. If your book does not appear
  98.          in the book list when the program starts use the [Ins] key to add
  99.          the book.  Make certain to spell it correctly. This will not erase
  100.          or create a new book if one already exists with the specified name.
