- This program makes printing envelopes on the LaserJet+ series ][
- or brother HL-8 laser printers a snap with the following steps,
-
- 1. Turn the printer on.
- 2. Put the envelope in the maual feed tray,
- face up, with the top to the left
- 3. At the DOS prompt, type LETTER and hit ENTER.
- 4. Enter any or all of the information you like,
- note that blank lines will not be printed
- 5. Note that control-C will abort the program.

- NOTE: LETTER.EXE as originally released, is set up to print
- business sized envelopes, if you wish to print on another
- size, then you must change the source code. The LETTER.ASM
- file is fully documented with where and how to make the
- changes (they're really easy if you or your buddy has
- access to an assembler program).

- The information that you can be printed is as follows,
-
- Name ........... (50 characters max)
- Address line 1 . (50 characters max)
- Address line 2 . (50 characters max)
- City ........... (50 characters max)
- State .......... (50 characters max)
- Zip ............ (50 characters max)
- Attention ...... (50 characters max)

- If you leave any of the above lines blank, then it will
- not be printed and the rest of the lines will be compressed
- vertically. If you must have a blank line, then you must
- enter at least one space on the line.

- If you find this program of use, then you are urged to send in
- the registration fee of $10.00. This will put you on our mailing
- list for any new products from IDC.
