  53. Introduction:
  54.  
  55. The ST07A and ST08A Host Adapters are used in conjunction with a
  56. Seagate AT interface drive and an IBM PC AT (or compatible)
  57. computer. They are both half-slot boards, which provide a 40-pin
  58. AT interface connector for systems lacking an AT interface drive
  59. connector on the system motherboard.
  60.  
  61. The ST07A/ST08A support two AT interface drives. They provide
  62. address decoding for hard drive I/O and buffering of signals
  63. between the host and the hard drive.
  64.  
  65. The ST08A supports up to two floppy diskette drives:
  66.  
  67. *    5.25-inch, 260 KByte/1.2 MByte
  68. *    3.5-inch, 720 KByte/1.44 MByte
  69.  
  70. An auxiliary DC power connector and mounting points are provided
  71. on both boards for "Drive-on-a-Card" applications.

  105. J1 is a 40-pin header. J1 provides the AT interface connection to
  106. the hard drive. Maximum cable length: 18 inches (.45 meter).

  111. J2 is a 34-pin header. J2 provides connection to floppy diskette
  112. drives. Refer to Section 1.6 for supported formats.

  118. indicator.

  130. J4 is a 6-pin, right-angle header. J4 may be used to supply DC
  131. power to a hard drive. This is provided for systems which lack an
  132. available power harness or for "Drive-on-a-card" applications.
