  65.      activities, address & number of where you will be & what time you will
  66.      be home, work & school numbers, plus lots more! And one key dialing!

  85.      The best thing to do is create a "Boot-able" disk (one that does NOT
  86.      require a system disk to start).
  87.      To do this, place a new 5.25 diskette into A: drive and format it like
  88.      this....   FORMAT A:/S     you have now created a bootable disk.
  89.  
  90.      Now copy all 8 of the above files to your new disk and type "SITTER".
  91.      This will also load your mouse if you have one. To do this, copy your
  92.      "MOUSE.COM" file along with the other files to the new disk you just
  93.      created.

  98.      First off, to make sure your baby sitter can NOT leave the "BabySitter"
  99.      program and drop to DOS, it would be best to create a directory for the
  100.      "BabySitter" program. To do this, go to your ROOT directory and create
  101.      a directory called "SITTER" Example:  "CD\", <ENTER>  then  "MD SITTER"
  102.      then  "CD\SITTER",  next copy the program to the "SITTER" directory.
  103.      Example:  XCOPY A: C:  if you have a hard drive of course, otherwise
  104.      just leave it in A: drive.

  106.      Exact example:  enter these like this ...

  127.      The program is set up to go directly to the "Sitters Screen", if by
  128.      chance the power is shut off and if it's NOT exited correctly by using
  129.      the EXIT password.

  131.      This program makes use of your MODEM by calling you, friends, work,
  132.      and many others by the touch of one (1) key.
  133.      If by chance you DON'T have a modem, that is okay to! It will still
  134.      show your baby sitter the correct number to dial. And, it has ALL the
  135.      information needed to give you peace of mind while you are away.

  138.    Entering Information ----------------------------------------------------

  141.      To enter the information needed for the baby sitter to do the job
  142.      correctly, just highlight the option on the "Configuration Menu"
  143.      that you want to add to, then press ENTER.
  144.      While you are doing this, and are adding info. use the <ENTER> key
  145.      to skip any line you don't want to enter. Use the <BACKSPACE> key to
  146.      erase any character you want. BUT, once you are adding information to
  147.      a certain box, you can press <Esc> at anytime while entering the
  148.      information. If you continue to the end, you will see "Saved". Even
  149.      if you press <Esc> in the middle of an entry, it will still be saved.

  151.      When filing out the separate information screens, just enter the
  152.      things you feel the sitter should know. Make sure phone numbers are
  153.      entered correctly. Example: Use the hyphen, 422-5555 .. or for long
  154.      distance: 1-602-422-5555, and make sure your MODEM is ON if you use
  155.      the one key dialing! And make sure you select the correct BAUD (1200
  156.      or 2400) and COM port (1 or 2). It is already defaulted to 1200 BAUD
  157.      and COM port 1, and tone dialing (push button).

  159.      When you have finished entering all the information that you want
  160.      to display to the sitter... press "G" to go to the sitter screen.
  161.      Leave it on this screen until you return.
  162.      To EXIT the sitter screen... you must use the password.

  168.      This is REQUIRED, you must select a password to go to the "Sitter Screen"
  169.      view the activity log, and EXIT the program correctly.
  170.      You can select any name or combination of letters & numbers you want
  171.      up to 7 characters. You MUST exit with the password.

  177.      This is NOT required, but does come in handy.
  178.      Go to the Password & Modem box and press <M> to setup the modem to your
  179.      systems configuration.
  180.      It's set by default to: COM port "1", BAUD rate 1200, and Tone phone,
  181.      and YES I have a modem.
  182.      Please reset it if you don't have a modem, to NO modem just pop-up the
  183.      phone number please.

  189.      The "BabySitter" has a built in help screen for the baby sitter, by
  190.      pressing <F1> while at the "Sitter Screen".
  191.      Please guide the baby sitter through the complete setup before you
  192.      leave the sitter alone with the children.
  193.      In case you don't have the time to do this, a pop-up screen appears
  194.      for the sitter to examine, and the ONLY way the sitter can shut this
  195.      screen off, is by scrolling the pages of information or viewing the
  196.      help window. After the sitter has done this, the screen will not appear
  197.      again.

  203.      To use the alarms, you must enter the time in computer time (24 hour).
  204.      Example: 1 thirty am would be: 01:30,  1 thirty pm would be: 13:30
  205.               2 thirty am     =     02:30   2 thirty pm     =     14:30

  207.      When the sitter views what time you will be home, it will show 12 hr
  208.      mode for her/him.

  210.      To shut off the ALARM, just press <ENTER>.

  223.      This will show you every key the sitter pressed while you were gone
  224.      and what time the sitter pressed it.
  225.      To view the Activity log, you MUST enter the password.
  226.      You may erase the log at any time you are viewing it by pressing <K>
  227.      for KILL the activity log and start with a clean slate.

  234.      To create your own custom screens, you need to use an ANSI drawing
  235.      program like "TheDraw" (Shareware). You can draw any picture you
  236.      like.. but, you MUST save it with "Bsave" and name it "Sitter.clr"
  237.      for color, or "Sitter.bw" for black & white (save in ASCII for BW).
  238.      Then just copy it to the "Sitter" directory
  239.      (make back-ups of the old ones first). Thats it!
