  12. MODIFYING THE ENVIRONMENT:
  13. --------------------------

  15. The 'CALL MASTER' application program may require more intensive disk
  16. utilization than other programs you are currently using. DOS permits
  17. you to alter the environment to facilitate this intensive disk
  18. utilization.
  19.  
  20. It is recommended that you create a CONFIG.SYS file (if the file is
  21. not there already) which contains the following two statementes.
  22.  
  23.        FILES=20
  24.        BUFFERS=8
  25.  
  26. DOS looks for the CONFIG.SYS file each time the computer is turned on
  27. (or "re-booted").  When the file is found, the operating system alters
  28. the environment corresponding to the contents of the file.

  32. INSTALLING 'SERVICE MASTER' ON SYSTEMS WITH A HARD DISK DRIVE:
  33. --------------------------------------------------------

  35. The diskette that your copy of 'CALL MASTER' was distributed to you
  36. on should not be used for running of 'CALL MASTER'. You should first
  37. make a back-up copy of the distribution disk and then install 'CALL
  38. MASTER' on either your hard disk or floppy disk system.
  39.  
  40. It is recommended that you create a sub-directory that will contain the
  41. 'CALL MASTER' program and distribution master files. The following
  42. DOS command will create a sub-directory called 'CALLMAST':
  43.  
  44.        C>MKDIR CALLMAST
  45.  
  46. Once you have created the sub-directory, select the new sub-directory
  47. by entering:
  48.  
  49.        C>CHDIR CALLMAST
  50.  
  51. Insert the 'CALL MASTER' distribution disk #1 into drive 'A'.
  52.  
  53. Next, enter the following command:
  54.  
  55.       C>COPY A:*.*
  56.  
  57. Remove distribution disk #1 and insert distribution disk #2.
  58.  
  59. Next, enter the following command:
  60.       C>COPY A:*.*
  61.  
  62. You have now copied all program and documentation files into the
  63. sub-directory 'CALLMAST'.
  64.  
  65. Before you go any further print the contents of the 'CMQSTART.DOC,
  66. MANUAL.PT1, and MANUAL.PT2' files. This can be done by entering
  67. the following commands:
  68.  
  69.       C>COPY CMQSTART.DOC PRN
  70.       C>COPY MANUAL.PT1 PRN
  71.       C>COPY MANUAL.PT2 PRN
  72.  
  73. Follow the instructions for installation that are outlined in these
  74. documents.

  93. EVER  EXCEED THE PRICE PAID FOR THE LICENSE TO USE  THE
  94. SOFTWARE,  REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF CLAIM. THE  PERSON
  95. USING THE SOFTWARE BEARS ALL RISK AS TO THE QUALITY AND
  96. PERFORMANCE  OF THE SOFTWARE. Some states do not  allow
  97. the   exclusion   of  the  limit   of   liability   for
  98. consequential  or  incidental  damages,  so  the  above
  99. limitation may not apply to you.

  101. This  agreement  shall be governed by the laws  of  the
  102. State of Texas and shall inure to the benefit of  MICRO
  103. DATA  ASSIST and any successors, administrators,  heirs
  104. and assigns. Any action or proceeding brought by either
  105. party  against the other arising out of or  related  to
  106. this  agreement  shall be brought only in  a  STATE  or
  107. FEDERAL  COURT  of competent  jurisdiction  located  in
  108. Collin County, Texas. The parties hereby consent to  in
  109. personam jurisdiction of said courts.

  111. This  is  copyrighted software. You are  not  obtaining
  112. title to the software or any copyright rights. You  may
  113. not   sub-license,   rent,   lease,   convey,   modify,
  114. translate,  convert  to another  programming  language,
  115. decompile,  or dissemble the software for any  purpose.
  116. You  may  make as many copies of this software  as  you
  117. need for back up purposes. You may use this software on
  118. more than one computer, provided there is no chance  it
  119. will be used simultaneously on more than one  computer.
