  6. Form Master is an easy to use tool for the creation and use of forms 
  7. customized for the specialized needs of a business or home.  Using a set of 
  8. versatile form constructions tools, a user can quickly create or edit the 
  9. structure of a form.  Form Master includes capabilities for word wrap, field 
  10. justify, look-up, and math operations.  Printed forms can take advantage of 
  11. printer features such as boldface, italic, subscript, superscript, under-
  12. lining, expanded text, compressed text, overstrike, etc.  Other features 
  13. include automatic date, time, and form sequence number insertion.  Multipage 
  14. forms are supported which can be a thousand pages long.  Form Master is easy 
  15. to learn with 4 interactive lessons and a tutorial.  On-screen help is 
  16. available by pressing F1.

  71. To allow Form Master to fit on a standard 5-1/4" diskette, the documentation 
  72. file, FM.DOC, may be compressed into DOC.CMP.  If this is the case you must 
  73. run the extraction utility, EXT.COM.  First determine where there is room to 
  74. place FM.DOC since it takes about 110000 bytes.  This can be your B: drive or 
  75. a directory such as C:\FORM.  Then enter the following:
  76.         EXT DOC.CMP X:
  77. where "X:" is the desination disk or directory for FM.DOC.  To place this  
  78. file into C:\FORM, substitute C:\FORM for X: in the above command.  If you 
  79. have enough room in the current directory, just enter:
  80.         EXT DOC.CMP
  81. and FM.DOC will be created there.

  84. A multi-page form example has also been included.  It consists of several 
  85. files which have been compressed into MULTPAGE.CMP.  To access these files, 
  86. enter
  87.         EXT MULTPAGE.CMP X:
  88. and substitute the destination directory or diskette for "X:", or enter
  89.         EXT MULTPAGE.CMP
  90. to extract into the current directory.

  93.        IMPORTANT INFORMATION if you have an older version
  94.  
  95. If you are upgrading from a previous version, Form Master will use all your 
  96. current forms.  No modifications are necessary.  If you configured Form Master 
  97. to your printer, it will also use your current FM.PRT file, if it exists.  
  98. HOWEVER, any printer configuration save file (*.cfg) you created is not 
  99. compatible with the new printer form since the number of fields has changed.  
  100. Therefore, please make a printed record of your last printer configuration 
  101. form before loading this version, then re-enter the information on the new 
  102. printer form.

  106. Press any key to start Form Master.  An example form showing some of the 
  107. features of Form Master will be displayed.

  109. Terminate Form Master using the ESC key.  When finished, you should make a 
  110. copy of this diskette.   Put your original diskette in a safe place and use 
  111. the copy.
