  3. GIFs Galore CDROM

  5. This CDROM contains over 6000 images, in a wide variety of categories.  These
  6. images are located in the directory ``gifs'', with a separate subdirectory for
  7. each category.  For instance, the directory``gifs/people'' contains pictures
  8. of people, and the directory ``gifs/birds'' contains pictures of birds.   Each
  9. subdirectory of images has catalogs containing arrays of reduced images so you
  10. can quickly preview the pictures.  These catalog files are named 000cat.gif,
  11. 001cat.gif, 002cat.gif, etc.

  13. Viewers are included for several different systems.  They are located in the
  14. directory ``viewers''.  If you have an msdos system with a graphics display,
  15. you can run the program ``go.bat'' for a demonstration of the gds viewer, and
  16. a sample of some of the images on this disc.

  18. Many of the programs on this disc are shareware, and require separate payment
  19. to the author of the program for continued use.  You are free to try shareware
  20. programs for a limited amount of time.  If you continue to use the program,
  21. you are expected to register the program by sending a specified amount of
  22. money directly to the author of the program.  In many cases the author will
  23. send you the most up to date version of the program and a printed manual.
