- Hello, and thanks for using DukeWeb!
-
- This program provides a way for users to connect Duke Nukem maps together
- over the Internet, resulting in a Web-style hyperlinking system that
- allows players to end a map and load another from the net. When you
- activate an auto-destruct button, it will end the game and a new map
- will be used based on which button was hit. Ten buttons are available,
- providing links to up to ten different maps accessed locally or
- automatically downloaded from the internet. Maps are stored locally in
- .\WEBMAPS\.
-
- This program also provides organizational services for dealing with
- collections of duke nukem map zipfiles.
-
- This is a Windows95 program that needs to be run from the MS-DOS prompt
- while Windows is still running.
-
- Run the program with no arguments to see the options available.
-
- Please type DUKEWEB LICENSE to see the software license agreement and
- other legal information.
-
- Run the program with an http: address for an argument (such as
- http://www.az.com/~ericc/start.zip ) in order to load a map directly
- from the net.
-
- If you are a registered user viewing this from within DukeWeb, try the
- link above by typing '1[enter]' when it asks for a command and note that
- the brackets have been added to the http link by the program and
- are not part of the command line arguments.
-
- Unregistered users have to type the address in manually or paste it
- from the clipboard.
-
- Browse to http://www.dukeweb.com for further documentation, sales
- information, DukeWeb news, and the latest version. A copy of this
- document is also contained in the DukeWeb archive.
