Doom 1.2 IS OUT, but ONLY FOR da NEXT, we have to wait a few more
time... :((((
If you want it, ftp to cs.orst.edu, get in pub/next/submissions dir, and
get the file (2.9 MBytes :))))

IT HAS BEEN RELEASED!!!!
Well, now we know what those mad geniuses at ID have been doing: they've been
working on the NeXT version of 1.2 instead of the DOS version. It is available
on cs.orst.edu as a FAT binary, so now I can run it on my NeXTstation instead
of stealing my workmate's Intel box, or using my officemate's piece-of-crap 386
machine. It works in 2-bit grayscale in addition to color.
Enough of this posting. I'm going to play.
