This method of natural family planning involves observing the normal cyclical changes in vaginal discharge. It allows ovulation and, therefore, "unsafe" days for intercourse to be predicted. On unsafe days, the vaginal mucus becomes more abundant, slippery, and clear, allowing the sperm to travel more easily. It is not safe to have intercourse until the discharge has become cloudy, sticky, and thick, indicating that ovulation has already occurred.
